The filly lines up as a leading player in the Paris Queen (1000m), while the colt faces a demanding field in the Tan Cerezo

LA PLATA, Argentina (Special to Turf Diario).— The long and appealing card that will bring the 2025 season to a close at the La Plata racetrack will feature two additional races above the allowance level alongside the G2 Clásico Clausura. On the program are the Paris Queen (1000m) and the Tan Cerezo (1200m), the former for fillies and mares aged four and up, and the latter for horses five and older, with a minimum requirement of three career wins in both cases.
The Paris Queen could mark the right moment for Maylena (Qué Vida Buena, 54), who has put together a strong campaign this year and most recently acquitted herself well against males in the Especial Haras San Benito, finishing second just one length behind Arrosto (Manipulator) at level weights.
Standing in her way is Beauty Check (Safety Check, 54), who finds her ideal conditions over this track and distance, as she showed a little over a month ago when drawing off by three lengths in an allowance, defeating Nina Ride (Señor Candy), whom she will meet again here.
Queen’s Reward (Grand Reward, 52) comes off a solid effort at San Isidro and looks to build on that form, while High Rimout (Remote, 56) will need to break cleanly, having developed a habit of missing the start in recent outings.
The Tan Cerezo appears considerably tougher on paper, with nearly as many contenders as confirmed starters. Carrying just 52 kilos, Indy Pro (Indy Point) gets the nod, coming off a string of consistent performances that include a runner-up finish in the G3 Clásico 9 de Julio–Día de la Independencia and thirds in both the G3 General José de San Martín and the About Today.
In his most recent appearance, Indy Pro finished fourth in the Handicap Hipódromo de San Isidro, but prior to that he had crossed the wire in front of Che Vivi (Manipulator) in the Especial Ribereño, only to be disqualified for interference.
Under a hefty 60 kilos, Vespaciano (Daniel Boone) will attempt to make his experience count, while Noni Letal (Don Letal, 56), who recently left him third in an allowance, seeks to repeat that result at stakes level.
