Mile and Sprint Take Center Stage in 4 Upcoming Stakes Races at Top Venues

The Clásico Ricardo P. Sauze (G3), Clásico República Federativa del Brasil (G3), Clásico Ocurrencia (G3), and Clásico Propietarios (L) highlight next week's stakes lineup at San Isidro and Palermo

Action on the premier circuits is set following Tuesday's final confirmations for the upcoming cards at Palermo and San Isidro, featuring four stakes events headlined across two major racing days.

The action kicks off this Friday at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, hosting back-to-back group events with the Clásico Ricardo P. Sauze (G3-1,600 m, dirt) and the Clásico República Federativa del Brasil (G3-1,600 m, turf).

The former, open to fillies and mares 4 years old and up, stood pat from its original entry list, sending a field of 6 to the post: Blessed Shine (Honour Devil), International Look (Cosmic Trigger), Lancara (Manipulator), Mis Locuras(Manipulator), Paxing (Señor Candy), and Splash Park (Safety Check).

As for the Brasil, open to horses 4 years old and up, only Capital Boss (Holy Boss) was withdrawn, leaving a full gate of 8 contenders: Blue Dollar (Orpen), Bronx (Qué Vida Buena), Comando Secreto (War Command), El Ernesto(Señor Candy), El Gazpacho (Bodemeister), Grand Canyon (Señor Candy), Kopke (Hi Happy), and Mister Coquette (Bodemeister).

The downtown venue will round out its race week on Monday, August 10, featuring the Handicap Día del Médico Veterinario (1,000 m, dirt) for 5-year-olds and up, alongside the Handicap Servicio Veterinario del Hipódromo de Palermo (1,200 m, dirt) for mares 5 years old and up, both open to winners.

Over at Hipódromo de San Isidro, Saturday's August 8 card offers a double feature on the grass with the Clásico Ocurrencia (G3-1,000 m, turf) for fillies and mares 4 years old and up, and the Clásico Propietarios (L-1,000 m, turf) for 3-year-olds.

A compact field of 6 was confirmed for the Ocurrencia: Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy), Forever Rim (Remote), Lissette Island (Lizard Island), Realizada Cat (Hurricane Cat), Sunny Frank (Gidu), and Tartana Frank (Gidu).

Meanwhile, just 5 sophomore sprinters will clash in the Propietarios: Listen (Le Blues), Lunático Pass (Distinctiv Passion), Mister Market (Market Rally), Nissos (Il Mercato), and November Rain (Strategos).

Closing out the cycle on Wednesday, August 12, San Isidro's feature event will be the Handicap Academia Nacional de Agronomía y Veterinaria (1,200 m, dirt) for horses 5 years old and up.

Seven runners will face the starter, with top weight honors going to Garufa Mask (Mask), assigned 58 kilos.
