Ratifying her affinity for that track, she prevailed in the Clásico Farnesio, over 1400 meters

The affinity of Moon's Destiny for the turf track at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo was confirmed this Friday, with the Haras Carampangue homebred taking a significant leap in her campaign by capturing the Clásico Farnesio.
The daughter of Orpen has run five times on that surface, winning four of them and finishing second in the other. Paradoxically, she has never been able to win on the San Isidro turf in nine attempts—surprising data that begins to help explain the reasons behind her victory.
With Francisco Lavigna in the irons, Moon's Destiny allowed Filippiada (Il Mercato) to run on the lead pursued by the favorite Elenika (Winning Prize), and it was not until the home straight that she began to spring into action.
The bay reached that stretch in last place but, racing wide, unleashed a long and steady closing charge that allowed her to catch the brave Filippiada in the final furlong. Upon crossing the wire, there was a neck difference between the two, with Look Happy (Hi Happy) battling along the rails to finish third, 3/4 of a length back. By an identical margin, Forti Leaf(Fortify) completed the superfecta, while Elenika failed completely, finishing last. The race time was 1m22s32/100.
Out of Moon's Prize (Pure Prize), Moon's Destiny carries genetics that blend several studs, such as Las Dos Manos—Luna Local (Equalize), Mooner (Mutakddim)—, Rincón de Luna—Luna Elegante (Ahmad)—, or El Turf—Miss Planet (Silver Planet), Lost Halo (Petit Poucet)—, and names such as the unforgettable Yatasto (Selim Hassan), the sire of Yocalla, her sixth dam.
