Sundays have been a neglected day for national racetracks, with many betting agencies out of the picture, making it hard to find attractive programs at the end of the week. However, this time, Palermo is stepping up with three stakes races, launching the selective process for 2-year-olds with the Guillermo Kemmis (G3) and the Carlos Casares (G3), and rounding out the strong marquee with a new edition of the Miguel Angel y Tomás Juárez Celman (G2).

Scheduled over a mile on the turf for fillies and mares 3 years and older, it gathered a very attractive field of 7 contenders, including Obra Clásica, the defending titleholder after her victory 12 months ago, in pursuit of returning to her best form after a series of performances where she did not look as usual.

The Haras Pozo de Luna homebred finished sixth in the 2000 meters of the Gran Premio Copa de Plata (G1) and now takes a step back in distance to return to the conditions under which she also won the Fernández Guerrico (G2) in San Isidro last season.

The challenge will be extremely tough for the daughter of Suggestive Boy, as she faces a high-level filly like Stormy Summer (Nicholas), winner of the Asociación Cooperativa de Criadores (L) and The Japan Racing Association (L), and recently second just 1 length behind Elenika (Winning Prize) in the República Oriental del Uruguay (G3), always on the Palermo inner track.

They are joined by the strong Pecadora Joy (Fortify), returning from a brief break after a dead-heat victory with Escolastic Girl (Suggestive Boy) in the Clásico Marcos Levalle (G2) at La Plata, which she reached after winning the Handicap Cipayo.

In the same vein, Causeway Girl (Dabster) carries solid credentials, having finished third in the aforementioned República Oriental del Uruguay and previously winning the Potrizaris and Polar Star handicaps.

With the support of a good campaign in La Plata, Vida Bohemia (Winning Prize) steps up her game, while Igual No Soy (John F Kennedy) and Soñadora Pícara (Suggestive Boy) aim to become the revelations of the race.
