Cannolina and Future Mind headline the stakes features on a program overflowing with quality

A spectacular day of racing awaits this Saturday at Hipódromo de San Isidro, with a high-class program highlighted by a pair of stakes events. Amid a card loaded with promising allowance races, the staying fillies and mares will square off in the Clásico Partícula (G2) over 2200 meters, while the Clásico Manuel Anasagasti over 1400 meters offers juveniles another opportunity to gain valuable experience and secure a ticket toward upcoming major targets such as the Estrellas Juvenile (G1). As always, the turf course will serve as the stage.
Eight runners were originally confirmed for the Partícula, although Duffy (Il Mercato) has already been reported as a scratch. That development appears to leave the door open for Cannolina (South Kissing) to take another significant step forward following her excellent campaign through the Campeonato Palermo de Oro.
Winner of the Gran Premio Gilberto Lerena (G1), she most recently finished a solid third, beaten three lengths by Herd Immunity (Forge) in the Gran Premio Criadores (G1), further confirming both her consistency and continued maturity.
Standing in her way is the battle-tested Romana Craf (Mastercraftsman), who will be making her third appearance in the Partícula after finishing seventh in 2024 and runner-up 12 months ago. Racing for Stud Tramo 20, she was fifth in the Lerena in her latest outing and will be looking to turn the tables on the favorite.
In the Manuel Anasagasti, several intriguing prospects demand attention, beginning with Future Mind (Daniel Boone), who made a stunning debut when defeating Litoral Sur (King Guillermo) by six lengths. He now stretches out in distance while seeking a successful transition into stakes company.
Mask May (Mask) left his connections disappointed in the Chevalier (G2), where he finished a distant third as the overwhelming favorite behind the ill-fated Cardo Castilla (Strategos). His team will clearly be hoping for a return to the brilliant form he displayed when winning on debut.
The progression shown recently by Contado (Winning Prize), Lunfardo (Daddy Long Legs), The Great Ful (The Great Day), Emotion Prize (Emotion Orpen), and Corazón Federal (Strategos) has also been encouraging, and each will be looking to make his mark at the stakes level.
With quality spread throughout the card and two particularly compelling stakes contests on tap, San Isidro promises another memorable afternoon of racing.
