Estrellas Sale Returns Thursday at La Pasión with Top-Class Offerings from Leading Breeders

The upcoming Venta Estrellas at Haras La Pasión—featuring consignments from the farm itself along with notable breeders such as La Nora, Chenaut, Juan Antonio, Chiapill, Don Arcángel, Las Retamas, NYCSI, El Arroyo, and Tattersall—will take place this Thursday from 2 p.m. in the Tattersall pavilion of Ricardo and Nicolás Benedicto’s farm.
The auction highlights offspring from established sires including Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), Manipulator (Unbridled), Full Mast (Mizzen Mast), Señor Candy (Candy Ride), Daddy Long Legs (Scat Daddy), Angiolo (Grand Reward), Il Mercato (Not for Sale), Il Campione (Scat Daddy), and Equal Talent (Equal Stripes), as well as first foals from emerging stallions like Gershwin (Distorted Humor), Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), and Backyard Heaven (Tizway).
Among the early highlights in the catalog is the colt Corroig (Gouverneur Morris—Palpitación, by Thunder Gulch), a maternal sibling to G3 winner Pallars (Easing Along) and the consistent performer Paladín Oriental (Violence), belonging to the same family as notable names such as Palmtín (Cautín), Puchet (Potrillón), Thunder One (Thunder Gulch), Palm (Faridoon), and the unforgettable Potridoon (Potrillazo).
Representing Haras La Pasión, Corroig shares breeder and sire with Illegally Black, whose dam is Illegally Blonde (Southern Halo)—a multiple stakes winner including the G3 Marcos Levalle in record time—anchored by the renowned “I” family.
From Haras Chenaut comes No Way Out (Manipulator—Irish Dream, by Orientate), a full sister to G3 winner Elveda and the dam of stakes-placed Zensational Dream (Zensational) and Dream Serena (Forge).
Haras La Nora offers Malacara (Gouverneur Morris—La Montalván, by The Leopard), a maternal sibling to stakes-placed Booby Hatch (Sebi Halo), descending from the same female line as La Liz (Southern Halo), Hishi Iguazú (Heart’s Cry), and many other quality performers.
Afro House (Uncle Chuck—Albinia, by Dynamix), consigned by Haras Las Retamas, is a maternal sibling to Ardiendo (Remote), recent winner of the G1 Gran Premio Gran Criterium on the San Isidro turf.
Lastly, Piantini (Daddy Long Legs) from Haras NYCSI is the first foal of G3 winner Icaria (Roman Ruler).
With such depth of pedigree and quality across consignments, the Venta Estrellas at Haras La Pasión is shaping up as a prime opportunity for owners and breeders seeking future stars.
