The Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo has put together an attractive Friday card, with the Clásico Lotería de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G3) as its main event. Run over 1000 meters on dirt, the race brings together fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up in a compelling generational clash.

There are plenty of options among the eight confirmed starters. Chief among them is the return of Aubrie (Angiolo), who has not been seen since May 1, when she came up empty in the Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires (G1). That effort stands as the lone blemish on the Stud La Bertina runner’s record, as she had previously stamped her class with a four-length score over the durable Vida Amorosa (Safety Check) in the Clásico General Francisco B. Bosch (G3).

Drawn on the rail is Beau Breeze (AP Candy), also making her return after 110 days on the sidelines. Last time out, she pulled off a major upset in the Clásico República de Panamá (G3), defeating Kiriel (Catcher In the Rye) by 2 1/2 lengths.

That same afternoon, Eleven Mile (Il Campione) finished fourth, but she comes off a strong performance when a half-length second to the talented sophomore Sarzana Pass (Distinctiv Passion) in the Clásico México (G3), while giving away weight.

Speaking of the 3-year-olds, the trio signed on here all look dangerous. Verdadera Pass (Distinctiv Passion) comes in off a dazzling performance at La Plata, where she stopped the clock under :59 for 1000 meters and romped by 11 lengths. La Bella Otero (Daddy Long Legs) captured the Clásico General Lavalle (G3), though she disappointed in the Clásico Estrellas Junior Sprint (G3). Rounding out the group is Go Clari Go (Strategos), who shortens back up to the straight course after a 1200-meter victory over, among others, Envidiada (Il Campione), who returned to win next out.

Drawn widest is Córdoba-based Lissette Island (Lizard Island), a consistent performer stepping up to this company, while Bantia (John F Kennedy) enters in peak form, having won her last three, albeit two of them at the alternative level.
