The daughter of Macho Fabuloso defeated heavy favorite Doña Chila, who broke last after a troubled start; both Enrique Weisheim and Lucas Guida were unseated during the running

LA PLATA.- Producing a surprise result, Pretty Fabulous successfully carried the strong form she had been showing in allowance company into tougher company and captured the Handicap Haras Dilú (1000m, dirt), the first of three races above the ordinary level featured on Tuesday’s card at this racetrack.
Carrying 57 kilos, the daughter of the remembered Macho Fabuloso took full advantage of several unexpected race circumstances, most notably the troubled start suffered by heavy favorite and topweight Doña Chila (Peten Itza, 61), who broke last and was forced to rally from behind after usually racing on or near the lead.
With the race unfolding that way, it was Jaque Mate Sar (Sardinero, 54) who assumed command early, while the eventual winner settled in third and the public’s choice began making up ground from the rear.
Turning for home, Pretty Fabulous quickly took over and opened enough of an advantage to withstand late pressure from Doña Chila, scoring by half a length. Another length behind, Sprint Back (Nickelback, 56) completed the trifecta. The final time was 1:00.72.
Midway around the turn, both Sra. Brandy (Señor Candy, 56) and Terra Fade (Fade Out, 56) fell during the running.
Enrique Weisheim, rider of the former, suffered a fractured wrist, while Lucas Guida, aboard Terra Fade, briefly lost consciousness after the spill but later regained it at Hospital Rossi.
