YORKSHIRE, Inglaterra (Special for Turf Diario).- The final day of the Ebor Festival at York will feature yet another race of the highest profile. On Saturday, the Sky Bet City of York S. (G1) will be contested over seven furlongs on turf, offering £665,000 in prizemoney and open to 3-year-olds and upward. With 11 set to line up, the spotlight falls squarely on Qirat (Showcasing) and Rosallion (Blue Point).

The former shocked the racing world at Goodwood when wiring the field in the Sussex S. (G1) at record odds, having initially been entered as the pacemaker for favored Field of Gold (Kingman). Juddmonte paid £40,000 to supplement the chestnut for Saturday’s assignment, and he now has the chance to back up that dazzling upset.

Rosallion, the morning-line favorite, was forced to settle for second in the Sussex, closing strongly to be beaten just a neck, and continues to chase his first top-level success of 2025. Runner-up by a nose in the Queen Anne S. (G1) at Royal Ascot and third in the Lockinge S. (G1), the colt skipped last weekend’s Prix Jacques le Marois (G1) due to a foot issue but is back in search of redemption.

Never So Brave (No Nay Never) continues his upward progression, having landed the Summer Mile S. (G2) at Ascot, and now makes his first foray into elite company.

Also intriguing is Lake Forest (No Nay Never), runner-up by 2 3/4 lengths to Wintess Stand (Expert Eye) in the Lennox S. (G2) at Goodwood, while finishing 2 1/4 lengths ahead of Audience (Iffraaj), a past Group 1 winner himself who looks to rediscover peak form.

The other supplemented runner is Segulls Eleven (Galileo Gold), who enters fresh off a victory over Diego Ventura(Mehmas) in the Thoroughbred S. (G3) at Goodwood.

A truly unmissable clash awaits.
