If there is one thing Reina Casada has in abundance, it is generosity. And this Wednesday, with her 7th birthday fast approaching on the calendar, the mare from Stud San Isidoro reunited with victory in the Especial Neápolis, the most important race of another quiet card, contested over 1600 meters on the wet dirt auxiliary track.

Already a winner at this level back in mid-2024, and heroine of the Clásico Doria just over 3 years ago, the daughter of Long Island Sound showed her continued relevance, regaining a form she had not displayed for some time after shaking off a three-month layoff in her previous outing.

Carrying a middle weight of 56 kilos, the chestnut prepared by Enrique Martín Ferro made everything look quite simple, saving ground along the rail while Vedette Queen (Suggestive Boy, 56) went out to set the pace with determination.

In truth, the winner never traveled too far from the leader, who was put under pressure in the turn by Expert Advice (Il Campione, 57), while Sia (Puerto Escondido, 56) and the favorite Lost Beach (Treasure Beach, 60) also kept close tabs on them.

Upon reaching the homestretch, Vedette Queen drifted out to a second path, and Iván Monasterolo quickly projected Reina Casada through the inside, where she took little time to dominate. Expert Advice tried to hold on, as did Sia, but they could not make up ground on the new leader.

In the closing stages, Lost Beach rallied wider to finish second by 1 1/2 lengths, with Expert Advice and Sia arriving in the following positions, all in an excellent time of 1m35s81/100, with fractions of 25s92/100, 48s56/100, and 1m12s9/100—data that speaks to a powerful finish.

Bred by Haras El Doguito, out of Reinarás Siempre (Equal Stripes), this was the sixth victory in 40 starts for Reina Casada, and her third in the stakes ranks. In earnings, she surpassed 42,000,000 pesos, signaling that, at least for now, the nursery and retirement can wait a little longer.
