— Agustín Villamil’s stud will offer its 21 yearlings this afternoon in an online format, including several siblings of stakes winners

Horse racing and its passion are passed down through generations—several, in some cases, making them eternal. In the case of the Villamil family, from the days of La Irenita to their current stage as Rodeo Chico, through better moments and some not so much, their contribution to national breeding and élevage has been giant.
One need only mention the massive impact they made for decades with Cipayo (Lacydon) to illustrate that journey of victories and unforgettable photos that today finds its torchbearer in Agustín, who holds the reins of the family stud.
Guarachero (Slew Gin Fizz), Cafetín (Slew Gin Fizz), and Reina Victoriosa (Intérprete) were some of the strong names bred by Rodeo Chico, a list that, more recently, has grown to include Entropía (Lizard Island), Pure Nelson(Mount Nelson), Dont Worry (Sultry Song), Escabiar (Portal del Alto), Cumbuco (Hurricane Cat), and Queen Elinor (Señor Candy), to name just a few.
The current strategy of the haras is not to gamble exclusively on a single stallion—as was the case for many years—but rather to diversify the offering to attract a broader base of owners.
This afternoon, starting at 7:00 p.m., Rodeo Chico will hold its now traditional Complete Production Sale, managed by Monasterio Tattersall in an online format. The main attraction is the presentation of the first crops by Capensis(Tapit) and Satono Flag (Deep Impact), in whom Villamil has invested heavily. Additionally, offspring of Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), Señor Candy (Candy Ride), Village King (Campanologist), Treasure Beach(Galileo), Lucullan (Hard Spun), and Imperador (Treasure Beach) will pass through the virtual ring.
Several pieces draw attention due to both their pedigree and conformation, such as Candy Rock (Capensis), who opens the catalog as a sister to the G3 winner Carameliza (Le Blues) and the G1-placed Candy Fy (Fortify), backed by the maternal family of a certain Candy Ride (Ride the Rails)...
Also attracting interest is Doctor (Gouverneur Morris), a son of the stakes winner and highly prolific Miss Planet(Silver Planet), who has already produced the G3 winner Mogur (Slew Gin Fizz) and the stakes-placed Whinney(Mount Nelson) and Iza (Mount Nelson)—the latter already the dam of stakes winner Lindaflor La Violeta (Most Improved).
Es Lógica (Satono Flag) is the maternal sister to G1 winner Entropía and will also be offered in the sale, alongside Bamba Asiática (Satono Flag), out of the stakes winner Seattle Bam (Seattle Fitz); Blomqvist (Village King), the first foal out of G3 winner Canta Bonita (Aerosol); and Japón (Satono Flag), the maternal brother to G2 winner Seattle Ampi (Seattle Fitz) and the stakes winner Ampi Nistel (Van Nistelrooy).
Rodeo Chico places its entire production at the disposal of owners, with its extensive and successful history as a backdrop and a renewed present, seeking to generate quality and competitive products. The results indicate that the formula is working.
