Rollanda aims for more in the tribute to Jacinto

Rubio B.'s mare will carry the top weight of 58 kilos; Princesa Candy, her main rival

Seeking to maintain her current strong form, Rollanda emerges as the top candidate for the Handicap Jacinto Rafael Herrera (1,200m, dirt), the first of two stakes races to be held this afternoon at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

The mare from Stud Rubio B., who will carry the top weight of 58 kilos, is coming off a nose victory over Ataka (Señor Candy) in the Especial Guatán on the San Isidro dirt. She now faces a dangerous rival in Princesa Candy (Señor Candy, 52), who is also going through an interesting patch and receiving several kilos in advantage when, undoubtedly, she should have carried a few more.

After securing her fourth victory, Miguel Velazco’s pupil finished third behind Victoria Bayern (Santillano) in the Handicap Rafale, followed by another standout performance finishing 6 lengths behind Lost Beach (Treasure Beach) in the Especial Perrier.

Arriving in good form from the allowance ranks are Legítima Blan (Equal Legítimo, 56) and Estigma (Il Campione), the latter also competing under a light weight. Legítima Blan, who already boasts positive results in this category, recently defeated La Bombonera (Portal del Alto) by 2 1/2 lengths. Meanwhile, Estigma is on a two-race winning streak, most recently besting Bonita Princesa Cap (Captivating Cat) by 1 1/2 lengths.

Finally, the name of Dark Gina (In the Dark, 54) cannot be overlooked, as she steps up in distance after finishing fifth behind Tormenta China (Malenchini) in the Handicap Tintilla.
