BERKSHIRE, Inglaterra (Special for Turf Diario).- There are weeks in the calendar that transcend dates—they become sacred chapters, etched in elegance, history and passion. Royal Ascot is one of those. Time seems to pause amid top hats, galloping hooves, and gentle bows, as the world of racing transforms into a ceremony where sport and tradition coexist with majestic ease. And the 2025 renewal was no exception: it was a journey into the very soul of the sport.

From the opening-day Royal Procession to the hushed roars of a crowd bound by etiquette yet ablaze with emotion, each moment offered scenes to remember. Heroics from champions, surprise comebacks, new stars rising under the Ascot sun, and tactical riding duels decided in the final stride—all were there, as tradition demands, as history requires.

This Saturday, the curtain will fall with the running of the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Stakes, a crown jewel among European sprints where the thrill of speed meets the slimmest margins of glory. With 16 runners set to line up, all eyes will turn to Lazzat (Territories), racing for Wathnan Racing, as he faces a deep field that includes 2024 G1 Commonwealth Cup hero Inisherin (Shamardal) and Japanese raider Satono Reve (Lord Kanaloa), to be partnered by Brazilian star Joao Moreira.

As the final cup is raised, the last hat tipped, and the Berkshire sun begins to fade, only the echo of applause will remain—along with folded racecards scribbled with notes and one shared truth: Royal Ascot is not just a race meeting. It is a rite.

And like all great rites, it leaves behind a promise: to return.
