The road to the Gran Premio Enrique Acebal (G1), the crowning event for the top turf filly of the season, features a pivotal stop this Saturday at Hipódromo de San Isidro. It will unfold through the Clásico Federico de Alvear (G2-1800m), one of two graded events headlining an outstanding racing program.

Ruby Rose stands out as the form candidate among the seven starters in the Alvear, coming off back-to-back runner-up efforts that firmly established her among the division's elite. First, she chased home Unica Forma (Full Mast) in the Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile Fillies (G1), and subsequently turned in another stellar performance in the Clásico Bayakoa (L) over the northern turf course, finishing second once again.

For the daughter of Il Campione, who defends the colors of Stud RDI, the time seems ripe to claim her maiden stakes victory, though the task will be far from straightforward. Her own stable will saddle a formidable second entry in Risk Free (Outstrip), a Brazilian-bred filly who recently landed third in the Clásico Marina Lezcano and will look to capitalize on the added distance to take another step forward.

The inclusion of Siesta (Cityscape) brings both class and seasoning. A multiple graded stakes winner at La Plata, she returns to the track where she broke her maiden, aiming to keep her undefeated record intact at San Isidro. Her battle-tested campaign and proven stakes credentials make her a threat of supreme concern, particularly against rivals still finding their footing at this level.

Oasis Moon (Dabster) represents the rising element in the lineup. After dropping her debut, she broke her maiden here in her second start and now takes a major step up in class, aiming to sustain the strong momentum of Juan Saldivia, who officially returns to the program. Fly Cast (Made You Look), Fuurin (Cima de Triomphe), and Just Dance(Daniel Boone) round out a compact yet competitive field packed with intriguing potential.

The Clásico Empiric (1400m, turf), also reserved for 3-year-old fillies, promises another compelling matchup. There, Gota Clara Sos (Made You Look) will seek to fully recapture her top form. Victorious in the Clásico Eliseo Ramírez(G2), she has been steadily building fitness following a layoff, and her top-level experience stands as one of her key assets.

However, she will clash with three undefeated prospects eager to discover their true ceiling. La Magia Existe(Backyard Heaven), Merecida Victoria (Edge of Victory), and Poker Star (Cosmic Trigger) have answered every question posed to them thus far and will face their first true acid test against higher-rated competition.

Kona Ice (Treasure Beach) completes the field alongside Se Cruzan (Manipulator), aiming for redemption after finishing below expectations in the Marina Lezcano. Her encouraging debut suggests she retains ample room for improvement to reassert herself as a major factor.

Featuring two stakes events for 3-year-old fillies and a wealth of promising talent on display, San Isidro delivers a card that could begin to clarify the generational hierarchy on the turf. In the Alvear, the picture for the upcoming Enrique Acebal will start to take definitive shape; in the Empiric, a group of unbeaten fillies will learn if they are ready for the big leagues.
