The Haras La Pasión Grand Auction saw significantly stronger figures during its second session, following a quiet Tuesday opener that marked the start of Argentina's 2026 sales season. With more consistent pricing, the farm has concluded its current broodmare and training-stock reduction. The move signals a strategic shift toward a boutique operation aimed at producing high-quality runners for its own Stud Rubio B.

While the session-topper remained Day 1’s Tintura de Miel (Easing Along) at $19,000, the second day saw four mares clear the $10,000 mark. Leading the way was Salvia, an unraced 2022 daughter of Equal Stripes out of Sagardoa (Easing Along). Secured by Nicolás Gaitán (on commission) for $15,000, she is a half-sister to champion Sabayón (Orpen) and G1 winner Saba Emperor (Emperor Jones), hailing from the prolific Sabática Fitz (Fitzcarraldo) line. She was sold in foal to Mutasaabeq (Into Mischief) for a July foaling.

Haras Masama was active at the top of the market, securing Candy Pop (Easing Along) for $14,800. The 2018 mare, in foal to Hiper Happy (Cityscape), is out of stakes winner Candy Crush (Mutakddim) and belongs to the same maternal line as the legendary Candy Ride (Ride the Rails). Masama also added Ilegalidad (Easing Along) for $14,000. Already a proven producer, she is in foal to Gershwin (Distorted Humor) and is a daughter of G2 record-setter Illegally Blonde (Southern Halo).

Rounding out the top lots, Haras Ona Zaldi went to $12,000 for the stakes-winning Exchange Rate mare Niccola, currently in foal to Gouverneur Morris. The sale was handled by Antonio Bullrich SA.
