A joint purse of 170 million pesos will be put up by Hipódromo de San Isidro on Saturday, November 7, when the Gran Premio Enrique Acebal (G1) and the Gran Premio Copa de Oro - Alfredo Lalor (G1) are run, two of the most important turf features in the final stretch of the season. For both races, the deadline for entries will expire this Monday, October 26, at 12:00 p.m.

The race with the largest purse will be the Gran Premio Enrique Acebal (G1), reserved for 3-year-old fillies foaled on or after July 1, 2023, over a distance of 2,000 meters. The total purse will rise to 100,000,000 pesos, of which 50,000,000 will go to the winner, a reward of huge significance for the sophomore fillies seeking top-level glory.

The distribution will continue with 17,500,000 pesos for second, 10,000,000 for third, and 6,500,000 for fourth, while runners finishing from fifth through eighth place will also receive purses, ranging from 5,500,000 down to 2,500,000 pesos.

Additionally, the track announced an extra incentive of 1,000,000 pesos via Estrellas Plus, aimed at the highest-placed filly enrolled in that program finishing among the top three.

In terms of costs, entry for the Gran Premio Enrique Acebal will be 200,000 pesos, while confirmation will require an additional 1,800,000, bringing the total cost of participation to 2,000,000 pesos, plus applicable VAT.

For its part, the Gran Premio Copa de Oro - Alfredo Lalor (G1), to be run over 2,400 meters for 4-year-olds and up under weight-for-age conditions, will feature a purse of 70,000,000 pesos, reserving 35,000,000 for the winner.

Second place will receive 12,250,000 pesos, third 7,000,000, and fourth 4,550,000, while prizes will also extend down to eighth place, which will collect 1,750,000 pesos.

To compete in this event, owners must pay an entry fee of 140,000 pesos and a confirmation fee of 1,260,000, totaling 1,400,000 pesos plus VAT.

The Gran Premio Copa de Oro also represents one of the major calendar challenges for older stayers and a crucial prep towards the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (G1), which in December will once again gather the top long-distance stars.

The schedule established by the Jockey Club Argentino indicates that following Monday's entry deadline, scratches and jockey assignments will be received until 12:00 p.m. on Monday, November 2, when the final fields will take shape.

Another important requirement is that both features require a negative pre-race chemical testing result as an admission condition for all intended starters.

Likewise, the entry fee for the stakes will be equivalent to 2 percent of the total purse, plus VAT, which must be settled before the race card begins.

With attractive purses, San Isidro aims to assemble the top 3-year-old fillies and the premier older stayers for a high-quality meeting that will also help frame the key contenders heading into December's marquee events.

The first answers will arrive this Monday at noon, when entries close and shape a card that features 85 million pesos designated exclusively for the winners of its two Group 1 events.
