Save Your Tears Faces Dangerous Rivals in the José Hernández Handicap

Save Your Tears Seeks Another Victory at La Plata / HLP

LA PLATA.- The always entertaining Monday card at the La Plata racetrack will feature the Handicap José Hernández, a 1100-meter dash for fillies and mares aged four and older with at least three career wins.

Despite carrying a demanding top weight of 61 kilosSave Your Tears (Full Mast) looks extremely hard to beat. A proven stakes performer, she comes off a solid victory in the Clásico Florentino Ameghino, where she held off Woman Edition (Equal Edition) by a length.

Her task won’t be easy, though. The improving Agradecida Pass (Distinctiv Passion, 57) returned from a six-month layoff with a brilliant comeback win in a local allowance, defeating Romaine (Angiolo) by four lengths, and now looks ready to step up again.

Another dangerous name is Maylena (Qué Vida Buena, 57), who regained winning form last time out and could continue on the right track with that confidence boost.

It would also be unwise to dismiss High Rimout (Remote, 59.5), whose recent sixth-place effort shouldn’t overshadow her earlier back-to-back wins in the Especial Bolivia and Handicap Haras Santa Inés. A return to that level would make her a major contender once more.

Meanwhile, Señora Bagaces (Lizard Island, 57)Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 56), and Empress Life (Legión de Honor, 56)could all spring surprises in what shapes up as a highly competitive renewal.
