The mare from La Plata defeated La Meninha by 2 lengths in the Handicap Roy at San Isidro

Save Your Tears (56 kg.) returned to action as if she had never left, and if her health remains intact, she promises to bring many more joys to her connections. Carrying the silks of so many good horses from Stud Chichín, like Ixal (Intérprete), the daughter of Full Mast ended a 3-month layoff with a resounding victory in the Handicap Roy (1200 m, turf, diagonal), the feature of a very entertaining card at San Isidro.
Relying on her class—and benefiting from a questionable weight allocation (Brugge, with 61 kg, as topweight, was certainly misjudged)—the Néstor Bustos trainee dominated a tough group of rivals almost at will.
Decisive as always, jockey Emiliano Siniani sent the favorite straight to the lead as soon as the gates opened, kept her there confidently, and once in the stretch, she had plenty left to comfortably repel every attempt from La Meninha (Le Blues, 60 1/2), who finished two lengths behind in a 1-2 for mares trained in La Plata.
Another three lengths back came Friendly Miss (Japan, 54 1/2) in third, with a solid final time of 1:10.53, noting the track was running wide as the rail was protected.
Bred by Haras El Paraíso, Save Your Tears now boasts 4 wins from just 7 starts, with 2 of them at stakes level, having previously taken the Clásico Francia (L) under similar conditions. Class and talent are abundant in the granddaughter of Perfectperformance, who now looks set to confirm herself as a force among the sprinting ranks beyond the straight course.
