Following his victory in the Clásico Refinado Tom (L), he now sets his sights on the Handicap Mesa Alvear

Another regular Wednesday of racing awaits at San Isidro, with the standout event being the Handicap Mesa Alvear, set for 1,200 meters on the dirt with the new chute, open to horses aged four and older.
A competitive and demanding race is shaping up, with Say It Fast (Cosmic Trigger) aiming to confirm the strong impression he left less than a month ago. Under conditions identical to today’s, he comfortably captured the Clásico Refinado Tom (L), powering away late and taking full advantage of a fast-paced scenario.
It appears the Stud Sixa runner may find a similar setup this time, and carrying 56½ kilos, a repeat of his recent performance seems well within reach.
Topweight Atrevivo Electric (Electricity), assigned 60 kilos, is always a contender in these events, rarely yielding and usually running safely to the wire. With Say It Fast in the field, however, he will need to either avoid a duel on the front end or conserve as much energy as possible for the stretch.
Payucano (Mask, 57) is another key contender, arriving in form after capturing the Especial Manganga over the dirt at Bosque, defeating a tough rival like Le Massif (Le Ken) by 2½ lengths.
Experience could play a role for Rugiente (Il Campione, 57), while Señor Moon (E Dubai, 55) ran second to Burgess Shale (Safety Check) in his latest outing and looks to continue his progression.
