Sire of this season’s Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Daryz, he has long ranked among the most expensive stallions in the world

Aga Khan Studs released its 2026 stallion fees, an annual announcement closely watched across Europe, and this year’s edition arrives with a headline change: Sea The Stars will top the roster at a record €300,000, the highest price of his already extraordinary stud career, up from €250,000 in 2025. At 19, the son of Cape Cross continues to deepen his impact across every layer of the pedigree landscape, a level of influence that more than justifies the increase.
Sea The Stars will close out the season as Ireland’s leading active stallion, bolstered by three G1 winners, including Daryz, the newly crowned Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (G1) hero who replicated his sire’s historic feat. His 2025 standouts also included Aventure and Sosie, alongside a deep roster of top-level performers such as Grand Stars, Map of Stars, River of Stars, See The Fire, Sweet William and The Lion In Winter. His strength extended to the sales ring as well, where his colt out of Crystal Zvezda brought 3.7 million guineas, the highest price for a yearling sold anywhere in the world in 2025. As a broodmare sire, he added three new G1 winners, taking his career total to 10.
In France, Siyouni remains the programme’s second flagship name, though his fee has been adjusted to €150,000, down from €200,000 in 2025. The son of Pivotal continues to be an unending source of classic quality, and his dominance in the spring mile division remains intact. This season he was led by Zarigana, winner of the Poule d’Essai des Pouliches (G1), and by Flight, runner-up in the 1000 Guineas (G1). Internationally he also added notable successes with the American-based Bellezza (G2) and Shin Emperor, winner of the Neom Turf Cup (G2). His younger generations promise continued momentum, with G1-placed Narissa as a key representative. Siyouni is also expanding his reach as both a sire of sires and a broodmare sire, with high-profile names such as Diamond Necklace (St Mark’s Basilica) and Zavateri (Without Parole).
The rise of Zarak shows no sign of slowing, and the son of Dubawi will remain at €80,000 after another highly productive year. He now counts 12 G1 performers—including winners and placed horses—with new additions such as the outstanding 3-year-old Laurelin, a G2 winner and runner-up in the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (G1), and the 2-year-old Campacite, second in the Criterium International (G1). In the sales ring he also made meaningful progress, highlighted by a filly out of Prudente who sold for €1.1 million at Arqana, his highest price to date.
Finally, 2025 marked the debut of the first foals by Vadeni (Churchill), Europe’s champion 3-year-old and winner of the Prix du Jockey Club and Eclipse Stakes, who will stand for €15,000 (down from €18,000). Erevann (Dubawi), a G2 winner and high-class miler, will remain at €8,000, reinforcing a young and highly promising branch of a stallion programme built on deep lineage, sustained excellence, and long-term vision.
