A son of Speightstown and a Grade 1 winner in the U.S., Seek Again made a notable impact during his time at Haras Carampangue in Argentina, where he sired local champion Irwin, one of the top performers of his generation

Uruguayan breeding and racing receive a significant boost with the arrival of a proven and generous stallion. Haras Don Goes, one of the country’s newest operations located in the Department of Maldonado, has secured the services of Seek Again, who will soon cross the Río de la Plata after a productive stint at Haras Carampangue in Argentina, where he began stud duty in 2016.

A son of outstanding sire Speightstown (Gone West) and bred by Juddmonte FarmsSeek Again is best known in South America as the sire of Irwin, Argentina’s Champion 3-Year-Old Male of 2021. A brilliant performer, Irwincaptured both the G1 Gran Premio Nacional and G1 Polla de Potrillos, and added victories in the G2 Raúl y Raúl E. ChevalierG2 Miguel CanéG2 9 de Julio, and Clasico Engrillado, while also finishing second in the G1 Estrellas Juvenile—all despite having no fewer than eight different trainers in just 14 starts.

Seek Again began his racing career in Europe, where he won three races before moving to the U.S. and flourishing under Bill Mott. He immediately made an impression by capturing the G1 Hollywood Derby, and later added the G2 Fourstardave H. at Saratoga to his résumé. He was runner-up in the G1 Woodford Reserve Turf Classic and third in a trio of prestigious Grade 1s: the Manhattan S., the Shoemaker Mile, and a second edition of the Fourstardave H.. He also competed in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Mile at Santa Anita Park.

Out of Light Jig (GB) (Danehill), winner of the G1 Yellow Ribbon S. and G2 Beverly Hills H., Seek Again hails from a blueblood Juddmonte family. His dam also produced Treble Jig (winner of the G3 Jebel Ali Mile in the UAE), Scottish Jig (Pride S. [L] in England), Cap de Creus (runner-up in the Via Borghese S. [L]), and Likelihood, dam of Australian G3 winner Future History (Showcasing). The family also includes G1 Fev Rover (Gutaifan).

Beyond Irwin, Seek Again has made an impression in Argentina through a number of stakes winners, notably Seek Wave, the top 3-year-old colt of 2024 at La Plata, where he swept the G3 Jockey Club de la Provincia de Buenos AiresG3 Polla de PotrillosG3 Isidoro Aramburu, and the G3 Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carreras de Buenos Aires. Other stakes winners include Saragossa CityDon Chajá, and Pay All, along with notable performers like Soviet AgainCurious AgainLumix AgainCódigo PostalHéroesEl Gran Lebowski, and Summer Festival.

With his move to Haras Don GoesSeek Again joins a growing group of stallions making an impact in Uruguay, offering breeders access to elite international bloodlines with proven results in South America. His arrival follows that of Holy Boss (Street Boss), formerly at Haras La Leyenda, and helps balance the recent losses of veterans like Posse (Silver Deputy) and The Leopard (Storm Cat)—the latter now standing successfully across the river at Haras Santa María de Juncal.

Generous, consistent, and genetically loaded, Seek Again has every chance to make his presence felt in Uruguayan breeding for years to come.
