The Stud Chos Malal mare looms as the leading contender for the Especial Haras Orilla del Monte

LA PLATA.- Of the 12 races on Tuesday’s card at La Plata, the feature will be the Especial Haras Orilla del Monte, a 1400-metercontest for fillies and mares, four years old and up, with three or more wins.
Only seven runners have been confirmed, headed by Señora Maga (52 kg), who will look to achieve the best result of her career following a sharp runner-up finish at San Isidro, where she was beaten just a head by Playa Chopera(Treasure Beach) in a turf allowance, while finishing ahead of Portal Maya (Portal del Alto), who came right back to score impressively at Palermo.
Trained by Juan Saldivia for Stud Chos Malal—the same connections behind G1 winners Belleza de Arteaga (Cosmic Trigger) and Cima de Areco (Cima de Triomphe)—the mare will face the seasoned Tac-Tac (Manipulator, 52 kg), a Listed winner at two in the Clásico Raúl Lottero (L) who has yet to win again but has been showing steady progress, most recently finishing third to Garbiñe (Lucullan) and Illa Alegre (Sabat Husson) in the Especial Asociación Argentina de Fomento Equino in late September.
Estaciones Porteñas (Safety Check, 52 kg) also merits respect after a convincing local debut that brought her a third career victory.
