Six Fillies Set for Saturday’s Clásico Partícula at San Isidro

The 2000-meter turf contest headlines the week at the northern venue, which will also host racing on Wednesday, June 5, and Thursday, June 6

San Isidro Racecourse is set for a busy week next week, hosting three racing days highlighted by the prestigious Clásico Partícula (G2) on Saturday. The 2000-meter turf event is open to fillies and mares aged three and up and stands as one of the major middle-distance tests on the calendar.

Of the original 11 entries, only six were confirmed to compete, with notable absentee being the Brazilian Neowise (Agnes Gold).

The confirmed runners include Romana Craf (Mastercraftsman), Punta Turquesa (Fortify), Presencial (Suggestive Boy), Garbiñe (Full Mast), Ceniza Pampa (Hat Ninja), and Lacanian Ink (Fragotero), promising an exciting clash among leading contenders.

Saturday’s card will feature a total of 16 races, beginning at 12:10 p.m. and wrapping up around 7:40 p.m., with several interesting events for two-year-olds also on the docket.

Earlier in the week, on Wednesday, June 4, attention turns to the Clásico Snow Figure, a 1200-meter dirt sprint for fillies and mares aged three and older, run under handicap conditions.

Ten were confirmed to run, with topweight duties assigned to Early Life (Suggestive Boy) at 60.5 kilograms. Her rivals include A La Vista (Angiolo, 56.5 kg), Beauty Check (Safety Check, 53 kg), Bichita de Luz (Fragotero, 58.5 kg), Dona Rosa (Storm Embrujado, 51 kg), Friendly Miss (Japan, 55.5 kg), Gran Celestial (Il Mercato, 54.5 kg), High Rimout (Remote, 55 kg), Lissette Island (Lizard Island, 56 kg), and Verenna (Cosmic Trigger, 56.5 kg).

The Wednesday program includes 14 races, with post time at 1:10 p.m. and a scheduled conclusion around 7:30 p.m.

Finally, on Thursday, June 6, in a somewhat unusual schedule, the Handicap Zanoni will be contested over 1200 meters on dirt. The race is open to horses aged five and up, with Atrevido Electric (Electronic) carrying topweight of 60.5 kilos.
