The son of Orpen is coming off a strong victory and returns to the San Isidro dirt track in search of more

On a card with few highlights, San Isidro Racecourse will feature the Clásico Adolfo y Aníbal Giovanetti as its main event, a 1200-meter sprint on the auxiliary dirt track for 3-year-olds and up, offering just 5,450,000 pesos to the winner.
With only six runners confirmed, the spotlight is on Sonreíme (Orpen, 54.5 kg), who steps up to stakes company in sharp form after a solid victory under similar conditions. Trained by Juan Saldivia, he defeated Qué Vida Yankee (Qué Vida Buena) by two lengths in a fast time of 1:10.55, returning from a 3-month layoff.
His main threat appears to be the far more seasoned Bambino Duke (Lenovo, 57 kg), a dual stakes winner this year at San Isidro in the Juan Lapistoy and Juan Carlos Etchechoury. He most recently finished eighth in the 2025 renewal of the Lapistoy but had been second earlier in the Clásico Lord At War (L).
With a good blend of seasoning and youth, Alpenglow (Angiolo, 55.5 kg) could prove the surprise of the field after securing his third career win in a gritty 1200-meter score at Palermo, clocking a sharp 1:09.38.
Not long ago, Saeroyi (Seize, 54.5 kg) was a close runner-up in the Clásico Remigio González Moreno, though he has since tailed off a bit. He’ll look to bounce back in this spot.
Mario's Rim (Remote, 52.5 kg) and Billy Bob (Idalino, 52 kg) will carry light weights and hope to spring an upset.
