The results of the Carreras de las Estrellas were decisive in allowing him to overtake Made You Look, who emerged as the leading freshman sire and repeated his 2025 triumph

A remarkable harvest in the Carreras de las Estrellas series propelled the brilliant Strategos (Zensational) to the top of the two-year-old sire standings, repeating his championship title from 12 months ago when he also topped the freshman sire list—a position that went to Made You Look (More Than Ready) this season.
The gray stallion, who stands at Haras El Paraíso, shone brightly in the Fundación Equina Argentina series thanks to November Rain and Colorado del Monte, winners of the Clásico Estrellas Sprint (G3) and the Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile (G1), respectively, pushing his total progeny earnings to 181,859,500 pesos.
Paradoxically, that figure was slightly lower than the one he achieved 12 months prior, when his runners accrued 208,472,300 pesos in purses, though capturing 16 victories compared to 11 in 2026.
Strategos also had two other juveniles excel at the highest level during the first semester: Cardo Castilla—who suffered a fatal mishap in the Gran Premio Gran Criterium (G1) after previously capturing the Clásico Raúl y Raúl E. Chevalier (G2)—and Cadiz, winner of the Especial Velocistas Potrillos at La Plata.
Meanwhile, Made You Look enjoyed a resounding debut crop, siring 6 winners of 11 races from just 17 starters to reach 164,052,900 pesos in earnings. His leading representatives were Gran Gotera, heroine of both the G1 Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha and G1 Gran Premio de Potrancas, and Gota Clara Sos, who captured the Clásico Eliseo Ramírez (G2), Clásico Derli A. Gómez (G3), Clásico Amilcar A. Mercader (L), and the Especial Apertura, while finishing runner-up to her stablemate in the G1 de Potrancas.
Gota Clara Sos uncharacteristically failed to threaten in the Gran Premio Estrellas Juvenile Fillies (G1), where her barnmate Unica Forma (Full Mast) ultimate emerged victorious. A win there would have sealed the juvenile championship title for Made You Look.
Full Mast (Mizzen Mast) finished third in the two-year-old sire standings, further aided by the prominent Siete Lagos, winner of the Clásico Islas Malvinas (L). It is worth noting that both Made You Look and Full Mast stand at Haras Gran Muñeca. Fortify (Distorted Humor) and Angiolo (Grand Reward) completed the top five.
In the freshman sire standings, the runner-up spot went to Pneumatic (Uncle Mo), who led his crop by number of individual winners with 7. He was followed by Gershwin (Distorted Humor)—sire of graded stakes winners Mucho Macho Win and Fletcher—Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), and Emotion Orpen (Orpen).
The latter was the only other freshman sire to produce a G1 winner this season via Emotion Rate, who captured the Gran Premio Montevideo (G1) at Palermo on May 1 following the disqualification of Colorado del Monte.
