The son of Super Saver dominated from gate to wire in the Clásico 80° Aniversario del Jockey Club del Perú (L), confirming the lasting influence of Argentine breeding at the Lima circuit

LIMA, Peru (Special to Turf Diario)— Time waits for no one, but it seems to have little effect on Super Lulito (ARG). Just weeks away from his seventh birthday, the veteran secured the first stakes victory of his career, confirming both his longevity and the continued dominance of Argentine-bred runners at Hipódromo de Monterrico.

The bay son of Super Saver and Bamba Jane (Johannesburg), bred by Haras Firmamento, delivered a commanding performance in Sunday’s Clásico 80° Aniversario de la Fundación del Jockey Club del Perú (L). Competing over 2,000 meters under weight-for-age conditions, the Stud Jet Set color-bearer was untouchable from the jump.

Guided by the veteran Carlos Trujillo for trainer Juan Suárez Villarroel, Super Lulito set an authoritative pace, clocking fractions of :23.97, :49.38, 1:15.43, and 1:40.67. He never gave his rivals a look-in, coasting home to stop the timer in 2:06.73 for the ten-furlong test.

Post-time favorite Nader Alfonso (Lookin At Lucky) could only manage a distant second, finishing 7 1/2 lengths adrift of the winner. The margins grew even wider further back, with Karim Forever (Enticed) taking third, 16 1/4 lengths behind the runner-up, followed by Saudita (Singe The Turf) and Dvorak (Editorial).

The victory marks the tenth win in 27 starts for Super Lulito, bringing his career earnings to 125,213 soles. While it was his first black-type success, the win felt like a deserved reward for a model of consistency who has maintained elite form throughout his career. His triumph further bolsters the strong Argentine presence in Peru, where "Albiceleste" breeding remains the gold standard for quality and durability.
