The daughter of Hit It a Bomb secured victory in the Micénidas, keeping her jockey hard at work

LA PLATA.- The sprint rankings among 3-year-old fillies at the track in this city added a new name during Thursday's card, as Temper Bomb sprung a surprise in the Especial Micénida (1100 m, dirt), the feature race of the day held over a sloppy track.
Displaying a few behavioral quirks, the daughter of Hit It a Bomb managed to straighten out coming into the homestretch, rallying up the inside rail to take control at the 200-meter mark and secure the top prize.
Earlier, as Pasión del Alma Pass (Distinctiv Passion) set a brisk pace out front, the winner made jockey Roberto Torreswork extra hard, hanging outward through nearly the entire turn.
Once into the straightaway, the path cleared and she hit her stride, finishing strong to score by 1 1/2 lengths over Crazy Train (Remote), while maiden La Figurilla (Emotion Orpen) took third, a half-neck back. Amiguita Casual (Todo Un Amiguito) and Helen Pretty (Pneumatic) could only manage fourth and fifth, respectively, all stopped in a final time of 1m6s44/100.
Trained by Marcelo A. García for the Los 2 Hermanos stable of Tandil, Temper Bomb was bred by Haras Firmamento.
