LA PLATA.- Ten colts are entered for the Clásico Criadores Argentinos del Sangre Pura de Carrera (L-1000m, dirt), the first step in the selective process for 2-year-olds at the local level, which was recently canceled and rescheduled.

Now set for Tuesday, February 18, this change has disrupted the first semester's calendar, forcing the young horses into an unplanned effort as the Clásico Luis María Doyhenard (G3) is scheduled just a few days later.

The list of likely entrants includes: Animal Topic (El Animal), Antiguo Secreto (Angiolo), Easy Dream (Unbridle's Dream), Emm Yugo (Emmanuel), Full Caluroso (Full Mast), Gryschin (Malenchini), Indie Joy (Roman Joy), Takeshi Frank (Gidu), Tricolor Pass (Distinctiv Passion), and Vendaval Joy (Roman Joy).

On the same day, the Especial Haras Firmamento is also scheduled, covering 1100 meters for 3-year-olds and older, with 3 wins required as a minimum and weights adjusted for the number of victories.

Among the 18 entries, the topweight of 64 kg will be assigned to the mare Creme de Cassis (Sidney's Candy), who could face challengers such as Amigazo Mak (Maktub, 56), Crispado Key (Key Deputy, 58), Eyes Have It (Il Campione, 56), Lunático Blues (Le Blues, 54), Yukon Jack (Remote, 54), Magyar (Lenovo, 56), and the veteran Sally Ray (Russian Ray, 56).

La Plata will also host races on Thursday, February 20, with all eyes on the Clásico Helda (1600m, dirt), unless it is scratched.

For mares aged 3 and up, under weight-for-age conditions, only 6 likely participants have been confirmed: Byron Star(Equal Stripes), Candy Fy (Fortify), Illa Alegre (Sabat Husson), Lady Pirata (Sir Winsalot), Star of the Beach(Treasure Beach), and Sweet Icy (Vástago Salvaje).

As usual in La Plata, confirmations and jockey assignments will be accepted until 11:00 AM on Monday, with final lists of participants announced in the afternoon on the same day.
