DEL MAR, California (Special for Turf Diario).- Breeders’ Cup Limited has announced the broadcast schedule and post times for the 42nd edition of the Breeders’ Cup World Championships, set for October 31 and November 1 at Del Mar Thoroughbred Club in California. The event will once again deliver an unprecedented coverage experience, featuring a multi-platform, multi-format approach that allows fans to enjoy the action from anywhere in the world.

The series will feature 14 Grade I races and over $34 million in purses, bringing together the world’s top horses, owners, breeders, trainers, and jockeys on the most prestigious stage in international racing. “Where the Turf Meets the Surf,” the scenic Pacific-side track, will host the event for the fourth time, following a record-breaking 2024 edition that saw $203.7 million wagered and 61 international starters, the highest in the championship’s history.

Television coverage will be provided by NBC Sports, airing more than 10 hours live across NBCUSA Network, and the Peacock streaming platform. A central block on Saturday (3:30–7:00 p.m. ET) will feature the Longines Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1) with a $7 million purse, alongside four other Breeders’ Cup races.

The feature race promises a true international showdown, including last year’s top three finishers—Sierra Leone(Gun Runner), Fierceness (City of Lights), and Japan’s Forever Young (Real Steel)—as well as Sovereignty (Into Mischief), a three-time stakes winner this season, and Journalism (Curlin), winner of the Preakness and Haskell Invitational.

Meanwhile, FanDuel TV will provide continuous coverage of both days through the Breeders’ Cup Players’ Show, also available on BreedersCup.com, the official app, major betting platforms, and international feeds. All content will also stream live on the organization’s official YouTube, Facebook, and X channels, ensuring global access for digital fans.

“Sports consumption habits have changed radically. Today, fans expect premium live content on the device and platform of their choice,” said Justin McDonald, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the Breeders’ Cup. “This multi-platform strategy makes the event more accessible, engaging, and aligned with how fans experience the sport.”

The broadcasts will reach over 180 countries, including ITV4, Sky Sports Racing, and Racing TV in the U.K.; Virgin Media in Ireland; ESPN across Latin America; Green Channel, Abema TV, and Netkeiba in Japan; Sportsnet in Canada; SuperSport in Africa; and FanCode in India, among others.

With the Pacific Ocean as a stunning backdrop, Del Mar will once again serve as the epicenter of world racing, hosting two days that promise to deliver, once more, the best racing afternoons on the planet.
