It will be run as the 13th race on a 19-race card that begins at 12:10 p.m. and is expected to conclude around 9:25 p.m.

Everything is set for an outstanding Thursday, May 1st program at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, which will once again celebrate Labor Day with the running of the G1 Gran Premio República Argentina (2000 meters, dirt), the most important race of the year for older horses at the iconic venue on Avenida del Libertador and Dorrego.
The marathon card will feature 19 races, kicking off at 12:10 p.m. and wrapping up around 9:25 p.m., with the spotlight squarely on the 13th race, scheduled to go off at approximately 6:25 p.m.
As reported in Monday’s edition, a field of 14 will head postward in the Gran Premio República Argentina, led by Crazy Talent (Equal Talent), third in last year’s renewal behind El Kodigo (Equal Stripes) and Mezzopiano (Daddy Long Legs).
The day will offer six Group 1 races, with the first of them being the G1 Gran Premio Jorge de Atucha (1500 meters, dirt), set for 2:10 p.m. as the fifth race on the card. Two-year-old colts will then take center stage in the G1 Gran Premio Montevideo (1500 meters, dirt) at 3:10 p.m., the seventh race.
Older horses return to the spotlight in the G1 Gran Premio de las Américas – OSAF (1600 meters, dirt), slated as the ninth race at 4:10 p.m., followed by the G1 Gran Premio Criadores (2000 meters, dirt), a “Win and You’re In” for the GI Breeders’ Cup Distaff, going as race 11 at 5:10 p.m.
The final Group 1 of the day will be the G1 Gran Premio Ciudad de Buenos Aires (1000 meters, dirt), featuring sprint sensation Labrado (Le Blues) and set for 8:25 p.m. as the 17th on the program, ensuring fans stay engaged at Palermo well into the evening.
To further elevate the festivities, increased guaranteed pools and bonuses totaling 780 million pesos have been announced, including a 120-million peso boost to the Pick 4 beginning in the day’s first race.
