The stakes schedule for the upcoming week at Argentina’s main racecourses has been confirmed, setting the stage for the highly anticipated Carreras de las Estrellas, to be held Saturday, June 28, on the dirt at Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo. In the lead-up to that major event, Palermo will host the period’s top features, with Sunday’s G2 Clásico General Belgrano (2500m, dirt) and the Clásico Día de la Bandera (1200m, dirt) taking center stage.

With El Estanciero withdrawn, six runners remain in the General Belgrano, led by G1 winners Rammel (Fortify) and Special Dubai (E Dubai). They’ll be joined by Demostrame (Endorsement), Equal Mostaza (Equal Stripes), Look Portal (Portal del Alto), and Mister Coquette (Bodemeister), forming a compact but quality field.

The Día de la Bandera field was trimmed in half, leaving eight confirmed starters: Atrevido Electric (Electricity), Candy and Giant (Giant's Pleasure), Despacito (Sabayón), Rugiente (Il Campione), Burgess Shale (Safety Check), King of Wessex (Cosmic Trigger), Lunático Blues (Le Blues), and Mr Neil (Valid Stripes).

On Monday, speed will be on display in the Listed Clásico Prensa Hípica (1000m, dirt), for 4-year-olds and up under weight-for-age conditions. The lineup includes: Aires de Gloria (Angiolo), Elder Statesman (Il Campione), En Un Rincón (Manipulator), Filoso ClassGaverick (Galán de Cine), Gonna Fly Now (Key Deputy), Grilldado (Dado Vuelta), Largo (Le Blues), Lemoro (Le Blues), Louisiana Lady (Manipulator), Maldito Sea (Compasivo Cat), and Príncipe Soñado (Fragotero).

Meanwhile, over at San Isidro, the Clásico Osvaldo Martínez (1000m, turf) for 3-year-olds was canceled due to only four entries. That leaves the Handicap Fitzcarraldo (1000m, turf), for fillies and mares 3 and up, as the day’s highlight, featuring: Forever Rim (Remote, 54.5 kg), Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy, 59), Lindaflor La Violeta (Most Improved, 56), Eleven Mile (Il Campione, 59.5), and Cold Mind (Lucullan, 55).

San Isidro’s week wraps up Wednesday, June 25, with the Handicap Good Passion (1400m, dirt) for mares 4 and older. Kelly Rose (Il Campione) carries top weight of 58 kg, and faces: Jalimba (Señor Pete, 57), Senta Pua (Full Mast, 54.5), Champion Craf (Mastercraftsman, 57), Catch the Bomb (Hit It a Bomb, 55.5), Taleba (Hurricane Cat, 52.5), Doña Esperada (Fortify, 53.5), and Hi Chasty (Hi Happy, 56).
