It will share the billing this coming Saturday with the Clásico Doria, while Palermo will also host the Clásico España (L)

The Hipódromo de San Isidro has assembled an engaging 15-race card for this coming Saturday, featuring several events for 2-year-olds and a pair of graded stakes.
The afternoon’s highlight is the Clásico Velocidad (G3), contested over 1000 meters on the turf. Restricted to 2-year-olds, the event offers a modest 10,200,000 pesos winner's circle share and serves as a key prep on the road to the Clásico Estrellas Sprint Junior (G3), which will be held under identical conditions in late June.
A competitive field of eight colts has been confirmed, a group that should help further define the juvenile sprint rankings. Set to break from the gate are: Wek End Pass (Distinctiv Passion), Sixties Pen (Sixties Song), Siete Lagos(Full Mast), Qué Vida Dura (Qué Vida Buena), Cadiz (Strategos), El Rayo Pass (Distinctiv Passion), Listen (Le Blues), and Just Fun (Le Blues).
Immediately following, the Jockey Club Argentino will host the day’s second stakes event, the Clásico Doria. Run over 1400 meters on the turf diagonal, the handicap is open to fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up.
A field of seven will go to the post, led by Verenna (Cosmic Trigger), who was assigned the high weight of 59 1/2 kilos. She faces a challenge from Reina Secreta (Víctor Security, 53 1/2), Pilar (Can the Man, 54 1/2), I'm Here(Marconi, 49), Doña Vanidad (Fortify, 55), and Emisora Mundial (Santillano, 52 1/2).
San Isidro will also see action on Wednesday, May 6, headlined by the Especial Full Sail. The 1800-meter dirt contest is open to 5-year-olds and up with three or more wins, carrying a disappointing winner’s prize of 5,125,000 pesos.
The eight-horse field consists of Western Orpen (Orpen, 56), Quality Boy (Asiatic Boy, 60), Q Culpeo (Forty One, 54), Hale Bopp (Equal Stripes, 56), Boyero Spring (Greenspring, 58), Don Cervantes (Long Island Sound, 54), Fruit Hunter (Global Hunter, 54), and Don Galeón (Global Hunter, 60).
Meanwhile, at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo, in addition to the highly anticipated May 1 card, the Clásico España (L) will take center stage on Monday, May 4. The 1000-meter dirt sprint is restricted to fillies and mares 4-year-olds and up.
Seeking the top prize are Tormenta China (Malenchini), Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy), Eleven Mile (Il Campione), Lissette Island (Lizard Island), A La Vista (Angiolo), Forest Rimout (Remote), La Meninha (Le Blues), and Free Prize (Winning Prize).
