Another week of activity has begun to take shape at the country's two main racetracks, and in terms of stakes action, Palermo will be responsible for hosting the strongest race in the near future.
This Friday, the Clásico Haras Argentinos (2,000 m, dirt) will debut its brand-new G3 status with a version that promises to give the event even more momentum. The race, reserved for horses 3 years old and up, will offer a winner's purse of only 12,100,000 pesos, and drew just 6 entries.

Over at San Isidro, the best race of the week will be the Clásico Gentlemen (1,000 m, turf), a handicap for horses 3 years old and up that will headline the program on Sunday, February 1st. The top weight of 61 kg went to Hiran (Santillano), who could cross paths with: Antiguo Secreto (Angiolo, 55 1/2), Bizarrap (Forge, 52 1/2), Che Cherubicha (Emperor Richard, 51), Grand Star (Grand Reward, 54), La Asturiana Blue (Le Blues, 54 1/2), Sea (Daddy Long Legs, 53 1/2), Secreto a Voces (Springdom, 55), Vendaval Joy (Fortify, 53 1/2), Verdadera Pass (Distinctiv Passion, 52 1/2), and Viejo Cuchara (Il Campione, 54 1/2).
