Lágrimas y Sonrisas, Star of the City, Lady Banker, Linda Isabelle, Lady of Moyvore, and the dam of The Punisherare among the standouts in the catalog; the event will take place this Tuesday in an online format, starting at 4:30 p.m.

There is no rest for the initial round of auctions in Argentina. While the first sales of yearlings are highly anticipated and soon to arrive, this Tuesday features the Breeding Stock event organized by Blacktype Bloodstock Sales, showcasing an interesting lot of broodmares.
With consignments from La Providencia, Santa Maria de Araras, El Angel de Venecia, La Esperanza, El Wing, and San Agustin, the event also includes the somber news of the Haras Comalal liquidation. The exit from breeding by this historic nursery—now in a different stage than its original era—follows that of Aitue and precedes the upcoming dispersal of Orilla del Monte. This comes at a time when the foundations of the industry are feeling the strain of poor management over recent years, combined with a difficult cocktail of low purses and high operating costs.
Returning to the Breeding Stock sale, which begins at 4:30 p.m. via virtual streaming, Comalal will offer notable mares such as the G1 winner Lagrimas y Sonrisas (Le Blues), with a breeding right to Remote (Dansili); the G2 winner Moyvore Rose (City Banker), also with a service to Remote available; the G2 winner Star of the City (City Banker), with a breeding right to Capensis (Tapit); the G3 winner Lady Banker (City Banker), in foal to Capensis; and Lady of Moyvore (Petit Poucet), the dam of Star of the City, Moyvore Rose, and Moon of the City (City Banker), in foal to Cityscape.
Regarding the Haras Santa Maria de Araras consignment, standouts include Jolie Joan (Giant's Causeway), sister to G1 winners Joe Louis (Lode) and Johnny Guittar (Lode) and dam of stakes winner Jolly Good (Heliostatic); Mistery Mind (Daniel Boone), sister to G1 winner Malibu Queen (Bernstein); and stakes winner Most Advanced(Put It Back), all served by Santin (Distorted Humor). Additionally, Safari Daisy (Lode), sister to champion Safari Queen and half-sister to G1 winner Safari Miss (Sonus), is offered in foal to The Great Day (Harlan's Holiday).
El Angel de Venecia will also present outstanding producers, most notably O.K. Angie (Orpen), the dam of The Punisher (Cityscape), the Champion Stayer and winner of the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (G1), currently in foal to Village King (Campanologist). Furthermore, the operation owned by Carlos Felice will offer Harlan's Fantastica (Harlan's Holiday), dam of G2 winner Linda Isabelle (Cityscape)—carrying a full sibling—and Linda Isabelle herself, in foal to Roman Joy (Fortify).
Finally, La Providencia features high-level mares such as Bavarian Girl (Zensational), a stakes winner in foal to Hat Ninja (Hat Trick); Follow (Seeking Daylight), dam of G3 winner Forgging (Forge), served by Hiper Happy(Cityscape); Intuicao Direta (Roi Normand), who produced champion Off the Road (Quick Road) and G1 winner On the Road (Quick Road), in foal to Hat Ninja; and the G2 winner Right Fula (Nugget Point), a generous producer with a breeding right to Hat Ninja.
