More than 150 countries will receive the coverage of Saturday's fantastic card at Meydan through different signals

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (Special for Turf Diario).— In a powerful demonstration of its growth and global reach, the Dubai World Cup will celebrate its 30th edition this Saturday with unprecedented coverage: 40 broadcasters will carry the day to more than 150 countries, consolidating its place among the most important events in world sports.
The meeting, which will feature US$ 30.5 million in prize money at Meydan, not only attracts the best horses on the planet but also positions itself as a top-tier global spectacle. The roster of stars rises to the occasion, led by the Frenchrunner Calandagan (Gleneagles), leader of the world rankings following his victory in the Japan Cup (G1), and by the Japanese Forever Young (Real Steel), recent hero of the Saudi Cup (G1) and top candidate for the Dubai World Cup (G1-2,000m, dirt, US$ 12,000,000). Joining them are international heavyweights such as the Irish Ethical Diamond (Awtaad), winner of the Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1), and the British Ombudsman (Night of Thunder), victor of the International Stakes (G1) at York.
Behind this global expansion is the joint work of the Dubai Racing Club, alongside Racecourse Media Group(RMG) and HBA Media, responsible for ensuring unprecedented television distribution. The production will feature an international signal (World Feed) led by Nick Luck from Dubai and Rishi Persad from studios in the United Kingdom.
Among the main networks broadcasting the event are ITV in the United Kingdom, Fox Sports in the United States, and ESPN along with Disney+ for Latin America and the Caribbean. In Europe, there will also be coverage through Viaplay and Setanta Sports, while in the Middle East, the signal will arrive via Dubai Racing Channel and Yas TV.
Asia will have a prominent presence with broadcasters such as Green Channel, Abema TV, and NetKeiba in Japan, in addition to HKJC TV, Now TV, and TVB in Hong Kong.
The CEO of the Dubai Racing Club, Ali Al Ali, highlighted the magnitude of the event: “The 30th Dubai World Cupis a milestone for Dubai and for international racing. Having a record number of broadcasters airing it live demonstrates its global stature and the exceptional quality of the horses it attracts.”
In the same vein, Seb Vance, director of international distribution at RMG, remarked: “We are proud to achieve the largest coverage in the history of the event. The Dubai World Cup continues to captivate audiences worldwide, and the commitment of so many broadcasters confirms it as one of the great global appointments.”
The broadcast will also reach audiences on the move: Sport 24 will carry the signal to cruise ships and airlines —including Emirates— while CNN Worldwide will cover the day for its World Sport program, and Reuters will distribute images to media outlets across the globe.
Three decades after its birth, the Dubai World Cup not only continues to grow: it confirms itself as a truly global spectacle.
