If the Stud Pauli numbers in 2025 were impressive, what the blue and yellow silks are achieving this season is even better. Out of 32 races run, they have 19 victories (59.4% efficiency) and nearly 125,000,000 pesos in earnings.

Following the victory on Tuesday at La Plata by the filly Gota Clara Sos (Made You Look) in the Clásico Derli A. Gómez (G3), a new happy ending was added this Wednesday. Encantador Pass took home the Handicap Phoenix(1,200m, dirt), the central event of an otherwise unremarkable card at San Isidro, allowing the bay to continue establishing himself in sprint races around the turn.

When speaking of effectiveness, jockey Gonzalo Borda and trainer Marcelo Sueldo walk alongside Pauli. They are the team behind the son of Distinctiv Passion, who had already captured a couple of stakes races at El Bosque and has now made his mark at the Jockey Club's venue.

Carrying 57 1/2 kilos, the heavy favorite (paying $1.60) made everything look simple, leading from the start and steadying himself in the homestretch after setting firm fractions of 23s 61/100 and 46s 26/100. He won by 3/4 of a bodyover the veteran Príncipe Soñado (Fragotero, 59 1/2), who was coming off a fifth-place finish in Monday's Handicap Vitelio at Palermo and only managed to close ground in the final stages without posing a real threat.

Another 4 lengths back, The Great Jazz (The Great Day, 55) finished third, ahead of Mario's Rim (Remote, 55) and Río Felipín (Grand Reward, 57 1/2), who finished far behind. The winning time was a more than acceptable 1m 9s 99/100.

Bred by Haras El Alfalfar, he is a son of the prolific La Agradable Key (Key Deputy), winner of the Carlos Casares (G3) and General Lavalle (G3) stakes. She also produced the talented Agradecida Pass and Afectuoso Pass, all from the cross with Distinctiv Passion. His lineage is the same as G1 winners Qué Piensa Cat (Easing Along) and Temuno(Tempranero), as well as stakes winners Lindo Tono Pass, Balada Bay, and Cool City.
