Contested over its traditional 2500 meters, it will be run next Saturday on the dirt at Hipódromo Palermo, featuring Blue Caviar (photo) and Sono Perfetto as the star attractions

Hipódromo Palermo is set for a highly enjoyable Saturday, featuring a total of 17 races, several of which are promising conditions events, alongside an interesting stakes doubleheader, all according to the final entries received yesterday.
Stayers will face one of their toughest tests of each season in the Clásico General Belgrano (G2) over a grueling 2500 meters, while the sprinters will take center stage in the Clásico Día de la Bandera (1200m, dirt), both contested under weight-for-age conditions for 3-year-olds and upward.
A field of 9 was confirmed for the stayers' event, including graded stakes winners Blue Caviar (Equal Stripes) and Sono Perfetto (Tetaze), two of the finest colts of last season.
Challenging them will be: Manalishi (Galicado), El Viento Zonda (Il Campione), El Estanciero (Fire Slam), Privale Blend (Lucullan), Nassau (Forge), Río Moro (Equal Stripes), and Perpetual Beach (Treasure Beach).
Grade 1 winner El Mejor Recuerdo (Il Campione) and the indefatigable Despacito (Sabayón) headline the lineup for the Clásico Día de la Bandera, which will also feature: Full Satisfaction (Full Mast), Stormy River (Le Blues), Bienhechor (Grand Reward), Oro Azteca (Empire Aztec), Hit Rouge (Hit It a Bomb), and Seek Wave (Seek Again).
Meanwhile, on Monday the 22nd, a stakes event will also top the card. It will be the Clásico Prensa Hípica (L-1000m, dirt), for 3-year-olds and upward under set weights, where Bailarín de Venecia (Angiolo) leads the field in the previews.

The top weight of 58 kilos was assigned to Forever Rim (Remote), who will line up against: Máxima Risk (Security Risk, 51 1/2), Forever You (Full Mast, 55), Vida Romana (Qué Vida Buena, 53), The New Star (Lenovo, 53), Gritala (Touareg, 55 1/2), La Farce (Emmanuel, 56), Verdadera Pass (Distinctiv Passion, 53 1/2), and Sunny Frank (Gidu, 56).
