The Clásico Asociación de Propietarios and the Clásico México complete a strong stakes schedule for the upcoming week

LA PLATA.- An important week of racing is approaching at this racetrack, with three programs scheduled and an equal number of stakes events on tap—although, as always, final confirmations will determine whether all of them are actually run.
The main attraction will come Tuesday, May 26, with a new edition of the Clásico 25 de Mayo de 1810 (G2-1600m, dirt), one of the strongest middle-distance races of the local season and one that drew 17 possible starters, including notable names such as Storm Sound (Hi Happy), Qué Tarde Gris (Il Campione), Campo Verde (Strategos), Escape Room (Il Campione), and El Ernesto (Señor Candy).
Also entered are Bombay Lake (Anjiz Lake), Brasilero Francisco (Lizard Island), Colour Vision (Univisión), Don Zahir (Daddy Long Legs), El Estanciero (Fire Slam), Liberto (Hurricane Cat), Llebrenc (Forge), Piu (Daddy Long Legs), Proude Paris (Lucullan), Purple Nich (Nicholas), Vampiro Zen (Zensational), and Will Sound (Long Island Sound).
The same card is also expected to feature the Handicap Haras Pozo de Luna (1200m, dirt) for horses four and up with at least three wins. Among the 15 probable runners, Arcanum (Horse Greeley) was assigned top weight of 61 kilos, one more than Seek Wave (Seek Again).
On Friday, May 29, the sprinters will take center stage in the Clásico Asociación Bonaerense de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera (G3-1200m, dirt) for horses three and up, where recent Clásico Julio Corte (L) hero El Resero Con Capa (Angiolo) shapes as the main reference point.
Among the other nominees are Animal Topic (El Animal), Azúcar Negro (Angiolo), Equal Romano (Equal Legítimo), Garufa Mask (Mask), Glorioso Rim (Remote), Huracán Risk (Security Risk), La Farce (Emmanuel), Last Word (Le Blues), Let Me Dance (Le Blues), Lo Straniero (Manipulator), Magyar (Lenovo), Morrison Inc (Gouverneur Morris), Redentor Scat (Knockout), Rodo (Flowing Rye), Secreto a Voces (Springdom), Vespaciano (Daniel Boone), and Despacito (Sabayón).
That afternoon could also feature a second stakes event through the Especial Fornara (1200m), contested under weight-for-age conditions for fillies and mares three and up. Among the 20 entered, prominent names include Calle de Tierra (Strategos), La Farce, La Meninha (Le Blues), Maylena (Qué Vida Buena), Qué Buena B (Qué Vida Buena), and Save Your Tears (Full Mast).
Finally, Sunday, May 24, which opens the La Plata week, will feature the Clásico México (2100m, dirt) for fillies and mares three and up.
The probable field includes Abrazo Al Cielo (Treasure Beach), Always Funny (Fortify), Contrast (Safety Check), Costa Fortuna (Señor Candy), Embrujada Girl (Cosmic Trigger), Existing (Winning Prize), Gharissa (Santillano), La Watson (Hurricane Cat), Nevada Top (Puerto Escondido), Niebla Peligrosa (Daddy Long Legs), Puerta Arrabalera (Puerto Escondido), Resilincia Holiday (Cosmic Trigger), Simply Southern (Forge), and Soy La Líder (Manipulator).
The Especial Talavera (1400m, dirt) for mares four and up with at least three wins would complete a stakes doubleheader that afternoon. With only 10 entered, City Land (Lizard Island) and Save Your Tears were assigned top weight.
As always, final declarations and jockey engagements must be submitted by 11 a.m. Monday.
