The Gran Venta Haras La Esperanza will keep Argentina's auction season rolling today

The 2023 yearling auction season continues today with the Gran Venta Haras La Esperanza, offering buyers the entirety of its crop as part of its final liquidation.

Held in a virtual format and organized by Fallow Remates, bidding will begin at 6:00 PM, with pre-bidding opportunities available for customary discounts. The catalog features 18 colts and fillies.

The lineup includes offspring of well-known stallions such as Cosmic Trigger (Lizard Island), Señor Candy (Candy Ride), Treasure Beach (Galileo), Cityscape (Selkirk), Suggestive Boy (Easing Along), Forge (Dubawi), and Lucullan(Hard Spun). Also represented are the first crop of Pneumatic (Uncle Mo) and the second generation of champion Nicholas (Equal Stripes).

Originally a branch of Haras Vacación, La Esperanza has, over 21 years, produced champions such as Ídolo Porteño(Jump Start), Fiesta Lady (Southern Halo), and Sexy Reasons (Jump Start), as well as G1 winners Ejecutor (Asiatic Boy) and Special Dubai (E Dubai), and Argentina’s current top older miler, Escolastic Girl (Suggestive Boy).

Among the standout offerings is Soñadora Candy (Señor Candy), a daughter of multiple winner Sanamia (Exchange Rate) and a half-sister to the aforementioned Special Dubai, winner of the Gran Premio General San Martín (G1).

Also going under the hammer is Early Trigger (Cosmic Trigger), out of the stakes-placed Early Start (Jump Start), a half-sister to champion Emergente (Salt Lake) and dam of stakes-placed Elevado Boy (Suggestive Boy).

Another notable filly in the catalog is Saragossa Candy (Señor Candy - Saragossa, by Jump Start), a half-sister to stakes winner Saragossa City (Seek Again) and granddaughter of the unforgettable Saragosse (Political Ambition).

The sale also features Estruendo (Treasure Beach - Estimadora, by Jump Start) and Litigada (Señor Candy - Luminosa Es, by Jump Start), granddaughters of G1 winners Estricta (Roy) and Lignify (Confidential Talk), respectively.
