The Firmamento unbeaten colt, one of the standout 2-year-olds of the season, makes his comeback over 1000 meters on the San Isidro turf course

Speed will once again take center stage on what shapes up as another fairly modest Friday card at the Hipódromo de San Isidro, where the feature will be the Handicap Ringaro (1000m, turf) and the long-awaited return of one of last season’s top juveniles: The Great Cash.
Carrying 57 kilos, the The Great Day colt must overcome 258 days on the sidelines, having not raced since his victory in the Clásico Santiago Luro (G2) on March 1 over the Palermo dirt. Before that, over the same course and distance he tackles here, he captured the Clásico Congreve (L). His morning work offers no cause for concern, and expectations are high that he will return at full strength.
His main threat comes from the progressive El Fortín (Il Campione, 54½), who has been moving forward steadily in the allowance ranks and already owns meaningful experience in stakes company. He comes off a strong win over the capable El Resero Con Capa (Angiolo), after finishing a close second—just a half-neck—behind Antiguo Secreto (Angiolo) in the Clásico Guillermo Paats (L). Beating him will require a top effort.
Contra Pronóstico (Daddy Long Legs, 54) looks to double up and land his second Trébol of the season, entering off a sharp conditional victory.
A stakes winner in the past, Señor de Salva (Sebi Halo, 56½) had shown hints of recovery but regressed badly last time when trailing the field in the Handicap Sorteado at Palermo. He must improve significantly to turn things around after a long slump.
Say the Truth (Long Island Sound, 54), Hit It a Rye (Hit It a Bomb, 50), and Wish You Luck (Winning Prize, 55½) complete the field for a race shaped around one central question:Is The Great Cash ready to reclaim the spotlight?
