The 2023 crop sales will continue this Thursday at the Tattersall of Haras La Pasión—located at kilometer 98.5 of Route 8, in Solís, Buenos Aires—with the June Bullrich Cup Sale organized by Antonio Bullrich SA. The auction will start at 2 p.m., preceded by a preview beginning at 1.
The event features consignments from leading studs including Doble S.S., El Mallín, Firmamento, La Pasión, Las Retamas, Orilla del Monte, and San Francisco Chico. Offered will be offspring by top sires such as Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), The Great Day (Harlan's Holiday), Roman Joy (Fortify), Sovereign(Galileo), Cityscape (Selkirk), Daniel Boone (Wild Event), Village King (Campanologist), Treasure Beach (Galileo), Emotion Orpen (Orpen), Hit It a Bomb (War Front), Il Mercato (Not for Sale), Manipulator (Unbridled), Nicholas(Equal Stripes), and Seahenge (Scat Daddy).
Among the standout lots in the catalog is The Great Rye, part of the second crop of the dual G1 winner The Great Day, out of Twins Rye (Catcher In the Rye), herself a winner of the Clásico Diego White (G3), consigned by Haras Firmamento.
From Las Retamas, Original Mix (Treasure Beach) is the second foal of Orange Nugget (Freud), who captured the Clásico Sibila (G2) on the San Isidro turf. Firmamento also presents Capelo Hit (Hit It a Bomb), a winner of the G3 Miss Capela (Numerous) and maternal brother to Chic Nistel (Van Nistelrooy), the standout filly of her season at La Plata and multiple stakes winner.
Haras La Pasión offers Son Femol (Il Mercato), the maternal brother to G1 winner Smashing Glory (Honour and Glory), while Firmamento consigns Olímpico Zen (Emotion Orpen), a full sibling to G2 winner Olímpica Hit (Hit It a Bomb).
Also notable are Nissos (Il Mercato), maternal brother to stakes winner Nicaragua (Exchange Rate); Jay Piece (Village King), from the family of stakes-placed Jaynella (Curlinello); The Great Fantastic (The Great Day), maternal sister to G1-placed Footing Hit (Hit It a Bomb); and Mister Fabulous (Flesh for Fantasy), full brother to the undefeated standout Macho Fabuloso — all expected to draw strong bidding ringside.
The June Bullrich Cup Sale represents another prime opportunity for buyers targeting major wins in the upcoming season.
