The Porteño, Omega, and Propietarios lead a packed weekend of stakes action at the major circuits

A double-header of stakes action is set for Saturday on the San Isidro lawn, followed by Sunday’s feature on the turf at Palermo
The upcoming week of activity at the main national racetracks has begun to take shape, promising a schedule featuring three group stakes.
On the road to the Gran Premio 25 de Mayo (G1), the Clásico Porteño (G3-2400m) will be held this Saturday on the San Isidro turf. As the final major prep before the "carrera patria," it is open to all horses 3 years old and up.
Twelve horses were entered, including several notable names such as Honest Boy (Heliostatic), the most recent winner of the 25 de Mayo, who returns to action seeking peak form for a repeat victory. Full Keynote (Full Mast) seeks redemption following his disqualification from first place in the Gran Premio Miguel A. Martínez de Hoz (G1), while El Encinal (Il Campione), hero of the 2023 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (G1), also looks to bounce back. Pecado Original (Global Hunter), Out of the Blue (Brz-Drosselmeyer), and Equal Mostaza (Equal Stripes) add further quality, with Castañón Rim (Remote), Doctor Dre (Sixties Song), Don Cervantes (Treasure Beach), Don Chamuyo (John F Kennedy), Don Mártir (Il Campione), and Hit Colchonero (Hit It a Bomb) completing the group.
The same day, fillies and mares will square off in the Omega (G2-1600m, turf) with 13 entries: Adi Shakti (Lucullan),Beauty de Triomphe (Cima de Triomphe), Forti Leaf (Fortify), Igual No Soy (John F Kennedy), International Look (Cosmic Trigger), It's My Look (Equal Stripes), Lessons of Life (Le Blues), My Pride (Daddy Long Legs),Noche Alta (Hi Happy), Orpen Rimout (Remote), Paxing (Señor Candy), Sátira Gaucha (Cityscape), and Soñadora Pícara (Suggestive Boy).
At Palermo, the highlight will arrive Sunday the 19th with the Clásico Asociación de Propietarios de Caballos de Carrera (G3-1400m, turf), featuring 12 potential participants: Adi Shakti, Eneta (Fortify), Filippiada (Il Mercato),Harlan's Rim (Remote), Igual No Soy, Legítima Blan (Equal Legítimo), Ma Perque (Cosmic Trigger), Mis Locuras (Manipulator), Moon's Destiny (Orpen), Pecadora Joy (Fortify), Stormy Summer (Nicholas), and Victoria Bayern (Santillano).
