A premier roster of producers will go under the hammer, boasting top-tier pedigrees and outstanding pregnancies

Boasting the quality seal that has made it a mandatory market reference, Haras Santa Inés returns to the spotlight this Tuesday for its traditional Annual Broodmare Sale, an event firmly established as a highlight of the bloodstock calendar.
The logic behind the offering is rooted in the farm's internal dynamics: each August, the influx of fillies retiring from the track into the broodmare band leads to an inevitable increase in numbers. This triggers a meticulous selection process, resulting in a catalog that features young mares fresh off the track alongside proven producers that have already left their mark. From this rigorous filter comes the roster to be offered this Tuesday starting at 6:00 p.m. via a virtual format, conducted by Agencia Fallow.
The proposal stands out for its breadth and depth. The catalog includes daughters of highly influential sires such as Candy Ride (Ride the Rails), Fortify (Distorted Humor), Il Campione (Scat Daddy), Orpen (Lure), Pure Prize (Storm Cat), and Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), crossed with powerful domestic and international female lines. Added to this is the presence of defining influences like Southern Halo (Halo) and Catcher In The Rye (Danehill), names that continue to steer the course of South American breeding.
A primary attraction of the auction is the presence of sisters to graded stakes winners, including those related to Kalithea (Exchange Rate), Querida Rebeca (Exchange Rate), Key Dance (Freud), Alampur (Catcher In the Rye), Enjoy Love (Orpen), Fiel Amigo (Violence), Art Nouveau (Russian Blue), Kiriel (Orpen), Lord Alex (Exchange Rate), and Lunasia (Southern Halo), significantly boosting genetic and commercial interest.
Equally relevant is the inclusion of daughters of Kiriaki (Catcher In the Rye) and Empress Jackie (Southern Halo), both G1 winners and pillars of the nursery. Along the same lines, the sale features dams of stakes winners such as Orpen Moon (Orpen), Modern Chic (Key Deputy), Enderly (Fortify), and the aforementioned Lord Alex.
Within the lot, Emotion Parade shines brightest. Honored as Horse of the Year and Champion 3-Year-Old Filly, her exceptional racing career includes victories in the Gran Premio Polla de Potrancas (G1), Gran Premio Selección (G1), and Gran Premio Enrique Acebal (G1)—credentials that position her as one of the sale’s marquee figures.
Furthermore, many of the mares are offered in foal to top-tier stallions including Il Campione, Hi Happy (Pure Prize), and Gouverneur Morris (Constitution), as well as the Japanese stallion Satono Flag (Deep Impact), whose genetic profile and international campaign generate high expectations as his first crop begins to reach the market.
Regarding the format, there will be no pre-bidding on this occasion. Commercial terms offer 10 installments in USD for all lots, while those opting to pay in Argentine pesos can access a 5-installment plan based on the exchange rate at the time of the sale.
