San Isidro Racetrack will offer its best program of the week this Friday, with high-level races on the turf, adorned by a new version of the Clásico Río de La Plata (L-1200 m, turf), a handicap for horses 3 years and older.

As has been the case lately, there will be very few participants, with only 5 confirmed in one of the most common divisions and distances. The decline in the number of entries and races at both the Jockey Club and Palermo circuits is noticeable.

The main attraction is the rematch between Garboso Frank (Gidu, 57 1/2) and Beauty Sea (Seahenge, 58), who finished 1-2 just 26 days ago in the Clásico Intendente Melchor Posse (L) on the grass at the Hipódromo Argentino de Palermo.

That time, there was a 1 1/2-length difference between them, with the winner receiving a 3 1/2-kilo advantage over his opponent due to the weight-for-age conditions. Now, there will be only a 1/2-kilo difference, so everything tends to level out.

Not far behind them in terms of potential is the consistent Vendaval Joy (Roman Joy, 53 1/2), who at just 3 years old has already raced 16 times, finishing off the board only once and counting the Nueva Generación and Ciudad de Ensenadastakes among his victories. On the northern turf, but over the kilometer, he recently finished third, just over 2 1/2 lengths behind the graded winner Hiran (Santillano) in the Clásico Gentlemen.

Stormy River (Le Blues, 55 1/2) is also in good form, having won by 3/4 of a length over Adorado Rim (Remote) in his most recent effort, with Song Joy (Fortify) in third place, leaving a notable impression and earning the jump to a more important level.

The short list of entries for the Clásico Río de La Plata is completed by the rising Ilegalismo (Lucullan, 52), who has raced little but well, bringing as his most recent credential a comfortable 3-length victory in a conditional race, defeating the heavy favorite Nutcracker (Grand Reward).
