The feature is set for this Saturday over the San Isidro straight turf course, on a program that also includes the Clásico Mesa del Senado (L)

Saturday’s program at San Isidro stands out as the centerpiece of the upcoming racing week, featuring a stakes doubleheader on the grass. The card is headlined by the Clásico Olavarría (G3), a 1,000-meter turf sprint for fillies and mares 3-year-olds and up, alongside the Clásico Mesa del Senado (L), contested over 1,400 meters on the diagonal turf course for 3-year-olds and up.
The nomination list for the Olavarría features a deep group of speedsters, including: Arkansas City (Angiolo), Bichita de Luz (Fragotero), Enjoy Dancing (Hi Happy), Forever Rim (Remote), Free Prize (Winning Prize), La Combatiente (Le Blues), La Meninha (Le Blues), Lissette Island (Lizard Island), Pretoriana (Daniel Boone), Rollanda (Bodemeister), Save Your Tears (Full Mast), Tibetana (Maranesi), and Verdadera Pass (Distinctiv Passion).
Meanwhile, the Mesa del Senado attracted a diverse set of entries: Approval Cat (Endorsement), Beauty Sea (Seahenge), Brasilero Francisco (Lizard Island), El Gazpacho (Bodemeister), El Resero Con Capa (Angiolo), Flying to the Sky (Señor Candy), Gardel Pass (Distinctiv Passion), Harlan's Rim (Remote), Mario's Rim (Remote), Midnight Runner (Forge), Notable Island (Lizard Island), Orpen Mask (Mask), Río New (Hurricane Cat), Stormy River (Le Blues), Tiburón Beach (Treasure Beach), and Viejo Varieté (Qué Vida Buena).
San Isidro will also host racing on Wednesday, April 15, centered around the Clásico Eduardo Jara, an 1,100-meter handicap on the dirt. The 141-pound (64 kg) highweight was assigned to Despacito (Sabayón), who could face a field including Hirán (61 kg), Encantador Pass (59 kg), Hit Rouge (59 kg), and Beauty Sea (58 kg), among others.
Action at Palermo this week highlights the Clásico Carlos Pezoa on Friday, April 10. The 1,000-meter dirt sprint is restricted to 2-year-olds; however, with only five nominees—Cadiz, Listen, Qué Vida Dura, Sin Tu Amor, and Wek End Pass—the race faces a high risk of being canceled due to lack of entries.
