The Yatasto will provide luxury companionship for Saturday's major classic program
Neat Colt, Honest Boy, and Crazy Talent (photo), all Group 1 winners, headline a stellar lineup for the race that forms part of the road toward the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (G1)
Next Saturday's program at Hipódromo de San Isidro has been confirmed, where the Gran Premio Jockey Club (G1) will headline a marquee card shared with the Gran Premio San Isidro (G1) and the Gran Premio Suipacha (G1). Additionally, the public will get to enjoy a powerhouse edition of the Clásico Yatasto (G3), open to 4-year-olds and up over 2,400 meters on the turf—a key fixture on the road toward the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (G1) and the primary prep for the Gran Premio Copa de Oro (G1) ahead of the grand final.
With 4 defections from the original list of nominees, a field of 11 will line up in the marathon contest, promising a top-tier event featuring 3 Group 1 winners in the starting gate.
Following a disappointing effort in the Gran Premio General San Martín (G1) at Palermo, Neat Colt (Treasure Beach) will return to the surface where he captured the Gran Premio Estrellas Classic (G1).
Meanwhile, Honest Boy (Heliostatic), hero of the 2025 Gran Premio 25 de Mayo (G1) who has been sidelined since finishing sixth in the aforementioned Classic, is also set to make his return to action.
Joining them is the proven Crazy Talent (Equal Talent), winner of the Gran Premio de Honor (G1) alongside several other stakes events, who is slated to make his seasonal debut after last being seen finishing twelfth in December's Pellegrini.
Honest Boy will be one of 5 runners trained by Carlos D. Etchechoury in the Yatasto, alongside Cazador de Areco(Long Island Sound), Don Logrado (Fortify)—a fresh winner of the Clásico General Pueyrredón (G3)—Friends are Friends (Cityscape), and Señor Sandro (Cityscape).
Curious Song (Sixties Song), the Brazilian-bred Oh l'Amour (Drosselmeyer), Silver Ya (Winning Prize), and Time to Think (Seahenge) complete a highly competitive field.
Looking ahead to Wednesday, October 7 at San Isidro, action will center on the Clásico Candy Ride (L-1,400 m, diagonal turf), tailored for 3-year-old colts pointing toward the Gran Premio Joaquín S. de Anchorena (G1).
Stakes winners Lunfardo (Daddy Long Legs) and Negro de Pergamino (Hi Happy) headline the field, which also saw the ratifications of Cautivador (Pneumatic), Earth Day (Cosmic Trigger), Listen (Le Blues), and Opinium(King Guillermo).
