There are 6 nominees for Horse of the Year in Peru, where the Postin awards will be presented today

The ceremony organized by the Asociacion de Criadores de Caballos de Carrera del Peru will be held at the Casino Atlantic City

The Chilean-bred Khamal, a two-time G1 winner, is a top candidate for Horse of the Year / JCP / JULIO VILLANUEVA

LIMA, Peru (Special to Turf Diario).– Peruvian racing dresses in its finest once again to celebrate its night of maximum distinction. This Thursday, the halls of the Casino Atlantic City in this city will set the stage for a new edition of the Premios Postin, the ceremony that will place the official seal on the events of the 2025 season at Hipodromo de Monterrico. With the support of the Asociacion de Criadores de Caballos de Carrera del Peru(ACCCP), the evening promises high emotions across every category.

As always, the greatest expectations will center on the title of Horse of the Year, which this time features six aspirants: Boudica (The Lieutenant), Compasion (Southdale), Gluck (Koko Mambo), the Chilean-bred Khamal(Mendelssohn), Magic Power (Power World), and Raine Elizabeth (Meal Penalty).

The remaining categories are composed of:

Champion 2-Year-Old Filly (Dirt): Meli Li (Bay of Plenty), Mistela (Street Hero), Pearl Jam (Forty Tales), and Princesa Dayne (Muwaary).

Champion 2-Year-Old Colt (Dirt): Efe Jota (Meal Penalty), Fahed San (Meal Penalty), and Joaquin (Bourbon Resolution).
