This Afternoon, the Selection Sale of Haras Carampangue

Starting at 5:00 p.m. at the San Isidro Tattersall, the nursery will auction off 49 lots, including offspring of Ivar, Señor Candy, Forge, Equal Stripes, and Treasure Beach

After a brief pause, the 2-year-old sales return to take center stage. The time has arrived for the 2026 Selection Sale of Haras Carampangue, scheduled for this afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at the San Isidro Tattersall, organized by Blacktype Bloodstock Sales.

The Chilean-owned nursery will bring to the ring a catalog of 49 colts and fillies by prominent stallions such as Señor Candy (Candy Ride), Forge (Dubawi), Treasure Beach (Galileo), Emotion Orpen (Orpen), Nicholas (Equal Stripes), Hi Happy (Pure Prize), Equal Stripes (Candy Stripes), Imperador (Treasure Beach), Uncle Chuck (Uncle Mo), and Dr Post (Quality Road), as well as members of the first crop by champion Ivar (Agnes Gold), who stands at the farm.

Several standout lots are poised to contend for the sale topper, including Kershaw (Señor Candy), out of the G1 winner Krysia (Matty G), making him a half-brother to G1 winner Keane (Equal Stripes), G1-placed Kreyna (Orpen), South African stakes-placed Kay Tee Perry, and Knock Her (Pure Prize), the dam of G1 winner and champion Knows All(Le Blues).

Lady is another filly to dream about, being a daughter of Ivar and the multi-champion La Laguna Azul (Orpen), who has already produced the G2-placed runner in Peru, Marcelito Elgrande (Suggestive Boy).

Considerable attention will also be focused on Stormers (Ivar and Stormy Morning, by Orpen), a half-brother to the outstanding Storm Sound (Hi Happy), winner of 10 races, multiple group stakes, and crowned the top miler of 2025 at La Plata.

Noche de Fiesta, by Señor Candy, is practically a blank check. Her dam, Noche Oscura (Hussonet), has already produced G2 winner Nochero Bueno (Pure Prize), as well as the dams of Nochero Querido (Most Improved), Noche Alta (Hi Happy), Nassau (Forge), and Nooresh (Suggestive Boy), along with the dam of Verenna (Cosmic Trigger).

Matt (Emotion Orpen), a half-brother to G2 winner Sweet Mana (Easing Along); Hello Tute (Uncle Chuck), a half-brother to G3 winner Hello Nacho (Knockout); Lago Michigan (Señor Candy), a half-brother to G3 winner Lago Nahuel Huapi (Hurricane Cat); and Waka Waka (Señor Candy), the first foal out of G3 winner Walnut Grove(Orpen), are also generating immense expectations.
