Kicking off at 5 p.m. and held entirely online, (Arg) Sales will offer the broodmares and 2023 foals from the Haras La Generación dispersal

The thoroughbred dispersal trend in Argentina will continue this Sunday with the total liquidation of Haras La Generación, featuring broodmares and all 2023 foals starting at 5 p.m. The sale will be conducted entirely online by (Arg) Sales, with presale activity already underway.
It is not a new development for breeders to exit the business in Argentina. While new names emerge alongside the disappearance of others, the country's persistent economic crisis, the lack of incentives to develop such an enterprise here (for example, the SPC continues to pay a 21% VAT...), the significant challenges faced by medium and small farms in achieving competitive prices for their production, and the unfeasible prize/pension schemes offered by racetracks, make it increasingly difficult for many to sustain operations.
In this context, 60 lots will be available, including some notable names such as La Validada (Valid Stripes), winner of the Gran Premio Criadores (G1), the Ramón Biaus (G2), and the Victorica Roca (G3). She will be sold carrying her first foal by Marconi, the Tapit stallion that stood at La Generación—now moving to La Mission Robles for 2025. Marconienjoyed a great victory on Friday with his daughter Coni Fizz in the Clásico Círculo de Propietarios de Caballerizas SPC (G3) at Palermo. In addition to the well-regarded mare, Azarella (Hurricane Cat), her dam, in foal to Marconi, and her full brother Marc Duque will also be offered.
Among the broodmares in the catalog are Spacial Girl (Jump Start), the dam of G3 winner Emmspacial Boy(Emmanuel); Giulia Flavia (Offlee Wild), the dam of G2 winner Emmbrujo (Emmanuel); Sembladita (Emperor Richard), the dam of the late G2 winner La Clota (Claro Oscuro); Némmesis (Exchange Rate), winner of the Clásico General Arenales (G3); Nabeela (Asiatic Boy), who produced G2 winner Lord of Lords (Master of Hounds); Wildest(Hurricane Cat), winner of the Clásico Eliseo Ramírez (G2); La Plus Chic (The Leopard), the dam of Clásico Le Cornette (Emmanuel); the G3 winner Paliza Salvaje (Lizard Island); and Extra Royal (Val Royal), who produced G3winner Furioso de Acero (Furious Key).
Among the 2023 foals, highlights include the siblings of Interdetto (Roman Ruler), Lord of Lords, Le Cornette, Emm Yugo (Emmanuel), and more.
