Winner of the Clásico Eliseo Ramírez (G2), she went off the scene after losing her undefeated record in the Polla de Potrancas (G1); she now faces Vieja Amiga Mask in the Clásico Francia (L)

SAN ISIDRO.— Almost the only interesting race on this Friday's card at San Isidro will be the Clásico Francia (L), which, contested over 1,200 meters on the turf diagonal, will test mares 3 years old and up under handicap conditions.
Most eyes will be on the reprise of the highly-regarded Tiz Joy (Fortify), who looked to be one of the most outstanding fillies of last year before an injury took her off the scene just as the most important races were approaching.
A homebred for Firmamento, she won on debut by 6 lengths over Lessons of Life (Le Blues), followed by a strong performance in the Clásico Eliseo Ramírez (G2), where she defeated by a half-length the great Charm (Strategos), who would later be crowned the undisputed number one in the division.
After an absence of just over five months, she attempted a comeback in the Polla de Potrancas (G1), but finished ninth and second-to-last behind the aforementioned Charm, going off the scene once again until now. The turf, an ideal distance for a comeback, and a friendly 57 kilos give the daughter of Fortify the status of the main candidate.
In her path stands the grey Vieja Amiga Mask (Mask), tasked with carrying the topweight of 59 1/2 kilos. She enters in high spirits after taking the Clásico Aníbal Etchart with a closing move. Just as she had found her place in the world on the straight course, she steps out of that specialty in pursuit of another major success.
Appearing as a strong third choice is a name that has been on the rise lately: La Tasmania (Mask). Carrying 55 1/2 kilos, she brings two consecutive allowance victories, the most recent under the same conditions she faces now, winning by 4 lengths over Seaward (Hi Happy) in a blistering time of 1m 8s 68/100.
The Brazilian-bred Party Girl (Outstrip, 54 kg) is coming off a subpar performance in the Clásico Empiric back in October. After a refreshing break, she will try to return to the form that saw her finish third, 2 1/2 lengths behind Stormy Summer (Nicholas), in the Clásico Asociación Cooperativa de Criadores SPC Ltda. (L).
